Well, you've read the notes, the notes are rising, and now it is time for you to post until the rising cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PRESCIENCE!
-
I've never watched either Equalizer movie, nor either TV series, the reboot of which is in its second season.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
:)
-
Good morning, all!
-
Another rather dandy night of sleep. If I could just get the arthritic pains and neuropathy to tone it down.
-
A day at home with the hearings. I do wish they were still beginning at 10:00a.m. instead of 1:00p.m.

Last night I finished Sanditon, and I'm ready for Season 2.
The show was developed by Andrew Davies, who wrote the wonderful 1995 Pride and Prejudice and other adaptations I've enjoyed. His Pride and Prejudice had a certain soap opera quality in his attempts to give Darcy more balance in the narrative, a life beyond the novel, and more sex appeal, making more a romantic comedy that a cvomedy of manners Sanditon takes it one step further.
I felt the first half was pretty much in Jane austen territory but the second half moved up around twenty years into the territory of the heaving bosoms and lust of Wuthering Heights, although Miss Lamb's abduction and reascue reminded me of the 18th century novel Clarissa. Jane Austen was certainly aware of sexual abuse, homosexuality and incest, as she proves in Mansfield Park with the ultra-bizarrer siblings Mary and Henry Crawford, but she never completel;y spells anything out. Davies' screenplay goes over the top with the kinky and tortured of the abused Clara Brereton and Sir Edward Denham. The novel was never written far enough to define exactly what their relationship will be, but Davies decided its a lurid one.
I have to say I enjoyed it, and I am curious to see where Season 2 goes.
-
Good morning, all.

I had a rocky night of sleep, dominated by a dream fragment that repeated itself endlessly throughout what seemed to be the entire second half of the night. I finally got up to visit the necessary, and decided to just stay up.
The dream fragment was about a single bar of music in Disaster! that was to take us out of a vamp and into the bridge of a song. There's one place in the show that's definitely a source, and maybe another couple of moments that the dream stole from. In the end, though, the repetition of that kind of dream is so highly irritating that it ultimately doesn't matter, you just want it gone. Forever.

Good morning, all.

Slept poorly. I’ll credit dancing for the first time in more than 10 days. My shins are sore.

There's an easy solution to that. Tell your dance partner not to kick them so much.

40% + vibes for MR BK.
-
I hope JB is out of bird jail today.
-
The new route to the theeder was very nice and I shall continue to use it.....it is a bit confusing, so it will take a few days for me to get it right....and hopefully I won't make any wrong turns.
I still drove the construction route on the way home, because I'm not sure of the new route in the dark. I was fine until the last mile when a motorcycle got behind me and stayed as close as he could.
He kept weaving back and forth and racing his engine although I was going at least 8 miles of the speed limit anyway. As soon as the road widened he flew past me on the right side.....I hope he got where he wanted to be.
-
I hope JB is out of bird jail today.
He was out of it later that day. He made his displeasure known.
-
LOL....I am sure.
-
Birdy Barnum likes most of the JOSEPH songs I have been playing....but I think he's tired of them.
-
He is singing a new tune today that I haven't heard before....as he sits on his basketball goal.....
-
Temps in the 90's today.....and tomorrow.
-
Got a bag of rambutan last night.

Understandable. Still, I think it’s Lloyd-Webber’s best score. Unfettered fun.

It is Tuesday, the 21st of June in Johnston SC.
Where has this month gone???
Where will this day take me?
Hopefully, it will find me doing all my PT exercises, including the new ones.
-
:)
He totally lacked prescience!
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep, I think.
-
I shall shortly be on my way to the car place.
-
Happy Summer Solstice!
-
Meetings. And more meetings.
-
Tuesday afternoon greetings! I slept in a bit today and have spent the morning settling back into our home routine. Had a couple of messes to straighten out, but all is good now and I'm ready to proceed.

DR John congrats on paying off your mortgage.
-
LOL TCB, I am just eating vicariously. I also have to be a fan of Zingerman's bread.
-
John, I have not ready The Candy House. Did you read Goon Squad first? I have read that either.
-
I have not read Daniel Deronda.
-
Paying off the mortgage congrats for DR JOHN G.
-
I have just had too many interruptions and irritations to have interest in anything.....perhaps things will change tomorrow.
-
I have a bad foot cramp and need to walk it out.
-
If only we weren't on the freeway.
-
I wasn't too keen on Middlemarch.
-
When I read Silas Marner in high school I liked it very much.

No. Not yet.
-
Why did you begin with the second book?
-
Back from breakfast, walking about seven miles to kill time, the picking up the motor car - wasn't too bad, cost-wise, although it needs some part next week that's gonna cost around seven hundred bucks.
-
Good afternoon!

Sadly there was a crash up ahead of us.
-
Now we are sitting in traffic with our motor off.
-
A tow truck is trying to use the shoulder to get to the accident. He can't get there because of all the rude people who used the shoulder to bypass much of the traffic >:(
-
Now we are all stuck here longer 😡
-
Two trucks got through and we are slowly moving.
-
Ih my, there were two accidents.
-
Just got a 100 dollar contribution and STILL the percentage did not go up - I suspect it will happen when we're exactly at 8K - but I seriously don't get why it crawls at this point. The good news is, we're only fifteen bucks from 8K.
-
The first one was a flipped logging truck that fist smashed into the front if a pickup truck, including the driver's door :(
-
Then we passed a small tractor that had flipped
-
Wow. Stay safe, DR Jane.
-
:)

Safe travels, DR Jane.

Ushering for Boz Skaggs tonight. Hope there’s a good crowd.
-
It’s interesting. We ushers no longer have to wear masks. I’ve been in a distinct minority for wearing one. But as the rates rise again, the masks tonight are there.
-
Safe travels, DR Jane.
Thank you. We have arrived in Ashland.
-
In a few minutes we will be leaving to meet friends for dinner.
-
It is 84 degrees here.

I can't remember if we volunteers have to at the WCPA, but audience members don't. They have signs that it's encouraged, but it's not required.

OK. If religious schools can now receive tax dollars, then it's past time for religious institutions to start paying some tax dollars.
-
And, to counteract that, some sweetness.

Good night, friends.

So cute! ;D
-
The concert was great. Boz sang his hits, especially Lowdown.
https://youtu.be/HCBVwdS1Mt0
-
There were about 1,100 people there.
-
I ran into a bunch of old friends, a couple of whom I hadn't seen in years.
-
That's what a pandemic will do to you.
-
I had bathroom duty. Not in the bathroom, but I think I said, "Ladies room is beyond the bar" at least 75 times.
-
It's still way too hot out here.
-
And I was wearing my vest on top of a long-sleeve shirt.
-
Oy.
-
Four!
-
Now I'm home.
-
The plants have been watered.
-
Now I'm relaxing to a documentary called Searching for Mr. Rugoff.
-
It's about a film distributor, Donald Rugoff, who brought some amazing films to American moviegoers' attention. Movies like Z, The Emigrants, Gimme Shelter, Trash, Putney Swope.
Many of the foreign films I remember seeing as a kid were distributed by him.
-
But until this documentary, I never knew his name.
-
I wish I had gone to Cinema I or Cinema II in New York back in the day. Sounds like a great experience.
-
I wish I could finish it tonight.
-
But I'm fading.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
Good night, all.

That's always nice!
-
Well...usually. ;)

Oy.
Oy is right! :o

What the F is that?

I can’t believe we had a lull of over an hour.

Hi, Tom.
-
After work, I went out to the Lacey Costco to see what they had that might be different than what's at my local Tumwater Costco.
-
I only bought my big bottle of "mature" multi-vitamins.
-
Travel vibes for Jane and Keith!
-
I then went to the Lacey Fred Meyer to look for some new blankets for my bed.
-
Two of the three blankets that I currently have are hand-me-downs from my niece.
-
I've had them for close to twenty years.
-
They're quite comfortable, but the edges are fraying and splitting.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Hello, George.
-
Today I watched one of the Spider-Man films.
-
I don’t remember the name. Andrew Garfield is Peter Parker (if that helps).
-
I actually enjoyed it.
-
The only other one I have seen was the first Spider-Man film.
-
That one had whatshisname. Frodo?
-
No, that is not right.
-
I don’t remember the name. Andrew Garfield is Peter Parker (if that helps).
I haven't seen any of his Spider Man movies. :-\
-
I really enjoyed Andrew Garfield. Almost as much as at the Tony Awards.
-
No, that is not right.
Tobey Maguire?
-
Well, I am done.
-
It is now midnight on the left coast.
-
Good night.
-
I bought one blanket at the Lacey Fred Meyer, and then a different one at the Tumwater Fred Meyer.
-
Good night.
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I need to get to sleep.
Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow, all. :)
-
New notes are up.
-
And no one's here to read 'em.
