Well you've read the notes, the notes got to 62% and spoke of the Saturday Night Hollywood Traffic Horror Show, and now it is time for you to post until the Hollywood Horror cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CULMINATE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, but my body is itching to go back to bed for the rest of the day.
-
I think I will spend the day doing as little as possible.

I was preparing for work when I came to the glorious realization that today is Sunday
-
I instead prepared two lightly toasted slices of brioche bread which I topped with guacamole and two perfectly cooked over easy eggs
-
And a steaming mug of coffee
-
Sounds good, DR vixmom.
-
Good morning, friends.

Watching the news makes me sick.

I have been up for 49 minutes and am barely functional. I did Wordle, and have done all my medical testing, pills taking, etc.
It's time for some coffee and a sit on the porch.

Today, I'll be in Seattle celebrating Pride! I hope I don't get a bad sunburn! I've got sunscreen, but I'm going to be outside most of the day, and it's supposed to get up to 93°! :o
-
And now, I'll take my shower, get dressed and hie myself north!
Until later! ;D

This morning, thanks to Bryn Terfel's recording "Simple Gifts," I discovered a British composer whose work reminds me of John Rutter. His most popular pieces are "Benedictus" from his mass for peace, The Armed Men, and "Ave Verum Corpus" from his Stabat Mater.

62%! Yay, Bruce!

A book has arrived in my mailbox!
-
Sunday morning greetings! After I saw Fr. Richard off for his preaching commitment, I finished deadheading the geraniums by our front patio. Gardening is not really my thing, but I do like how it looks when it’s done.

Love that recording!

Good morning, all.

Book arrived yesterday!

Last night I attended a very intricately staged and highly amusing production of Peter and the Starcatcher. It was my first time to see the play. It was certainly entertaining, and it was good to see two friends in it who specialize in this kind of wacky, almost-improvisational comedy. I knew very little about it going in, and was interested to find that it plays (or at least this one played) much like a British panto.
-
Aaaaaand..... Carrie auditions tonight. And tomorrow night. Lordy, I hope people show up.
-
People, please don't get yourself scammed by these things on Facebook. I only ever see them when a FB friend responds to one, and it's disheartening to realize how many otherwise smart and wonderful people are taken in by this kind of bullshit.
For one thing, Texas Roadhouse FANS [sic]? It's not actually Texas Roadhouse posting this? I am shocked, shocked.
And that FANS organization is going to be many millions of dollars poorer after giving out those (let's see how many) -- oh, what, only 326,000 so far? -- vouchers for dinners for two!
I could go on.....
-
Thus endeth my public service announcement for the day.
-
Watching the news makes me sick.
I can't even watch it.
-
CARRIE vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.....you can't have any of my brothers, I have none to spare.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the INDIEGOGO 62%!!
-
I worked on our asset/expense report for our meeting with the attorney on Wednesday.
Our family reunion [on my dad's side] is today - so I may wander over there for a bit.....in a bit.... I don't plan to stay too long. We shall see.
-
Dinner for Two for the Seesaw?
-
Dinner for Two on a Guillotine.
-
Jrand, enjoy the reunion.
-
TCB I am very sorry your back is worst than usual, which is bad enough. Sending gentle hugs and vibes of comfort and coping.
-
JRand, we want a full family reunion report.
-
Charlotte Spencer, who plays Esther in Sanditon, is a wicked stepsister -- well, vapid stepsister is more like it -- in this version of Cinderella.
-
Darn, plans with our friend today just got canceled due to a health issue :(
-
~~~LESSENING PAIN VIBES~~~ for DR TCB!!!!!!!!
-
Sorry, DR Jane....
-
What a nice day for a walk here... partly sunny, good breeze, comfortable temps.
-
We are going out to dinner tonight to help a friend celebrate her 80th birthday. A well-known Russian restaurant.
-
Thanks Singdaw.
That sounds good. Have fun.
-
We are skipping our original plans and heading to the coast.
-
From 90 degree temps to 64 degrees.
-
From briwn hills to green hills.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
During the last forty-five minutes I've caught up on things.
-
One Indiegogo contribution this morning, but for a CD, so percentage stayed the same but the tally went up, which is always good.
-
Up from a nap. The title of my autobiography.
-
It’s hot.
-
I wonder if DR singdaw is going to Wendski's?
-
The reunion was a bit of a bust.
Four cousins and their families.....and since two of us are single - we are our families.
But it was fun. And I did find out that the house closing is Friday at noon! So that was good news!
Cousin Roe on the left, cousin Bryant on the right - and me in the middle.
In a word: nasty.
Now watching a documentary called Deep Blues. Not all that fond of the framework, but the music is great.
Wonderful photo DR Jrand. I am glad you had a good time.
I am sorry, DR vixmom. ~~~SUPER DUPER VIBES~~~ for your brother.
Back from the restaurant, which was lovely. I had, of course, Chicken Kiev. It was yummilicious.
-
The Russian restaurant did not have Manischewitz aspic on the menu.
Mega vibes for Vixunc.
Lucky you.
That I am aware of.
Vibes!
-
I did not know actor Allen Arbus was married to Diane Arbus.
-
I managed to slice my thumb pretty well this afternoon on an apple corer. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
-
Watching Putney Swope, which is a mess of a movie and hilarious to boot. Advertising has not changed a wit in the 53 years since this was made.
-
Giving you the finger vibes, Singdaw.
-
Wait. I don’t think that came out right.
-
For dessert, I had a blintz stuffed with marscapone, cranberries, and walnuts. Don't know how authentic the filling is, but it was certainly good.
-
Wait. I don’t think that came out right.
Thumbs up vibes, Singdaw.
Any better?
-
For dessert, I had a blintz stuffed with marscapone, cranberries, and walnuts. Don't know how authentic the filling is, but it was certainly good.
That sounds wonderful.
-
Four!
-
And a billowy cloud of whipped cream, of course.
-
Fortunately, I had just last week purchased a new box of Band-Aids. The box that was in the cabinet had been there probably since the Reagan administration.
-
Billowy clouds and ladles full are always welcome.
-
I meant to comment on Jrand71's happy news about the real estate closing.
-
And may DR elmore3003's follow in short order.
-
The Russian restaurant did not have Manischewitz aspic on the menu.
I would hope not ;D
-
I read ladies full, which works almost as well.
-
I brought the birthday girl a vase filled with blooming peonies.
Rapidly losing steam.
-
Goodnight, friends.
-
I brought the birthday girl a vase filled with blooming peonies.
I saw peonies in Wyoming. I’d forgotten how great they smell. Beautiful gift.
-
I managed to slice my thumb pretty well this afternoon on an apple corer. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Ouch! Did you need stitches?
-
Not a Texas flower.
-
We had excellent Chinese food for dinner.
-
Good night, all.
-
Had the same personal-size pizza as last night - still excellent.
-
Watched a movie, and I've dozed way more than I should have during the day and evening.
-
Well, I'm home...and gave been for only about an hour.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
It was a LONG day, but at least my drives to Seattle and back home were quite uneventful...fairly light traffic both ways.
-
Vibes please for my liddle brudda the yodel eater who is in hospital with a ruptured appendix waiting for an OR to open up
-
My car performed very well, except that I realized that the air conditioning doesn't get the car very cold. :-\
-
It certainly was cooler than the outside, but it didn't pump out cold air, like I would've expected. I'll have to call the dealer about that.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
I am sorry, DR vixmom. ~~~SUPER DUPER VIBES~~~ for your brother.
Ditto!
First, here I am with my Mariner's cap AND my own umbrella hat!
To continue...here's my friend David in his umbrella hat/cap combo:
My car performed very well, except that I realized that the air conditioning doesn't get the car very cold. :-\
Can’t you lower the temperature?
-
Hello, George.
-
I'd heard that the Pride March was 1.75 miles, but afterward, we walked around Seattle and probably doubled that. :P
-
My car performed very well, except that I realized that the air conditioning doesn't get the car very cold. :-\
Can’t you lower the temperature?
It doesn't have a thermostat or temperature guage...at least, not that I can tell. I can only see the physical dials. Maybe I should (have to) read the manual before I call the dealer.
-
First, here I am with my Mariner's cap AND my own umbrella hat!
What is that on your chin?
-
~~~LESSENING PAIN VIBES~~~ for DR TCB!!!!!!!!
~~~DITTO!!~~~
Thank you.
-
So, before the walking started, the Mariner's mascot and the Seattle Storm's mascot were in the area where we were waiting, but also a couple of very tall women.
-
First, here I am with my Mariner's cap AND my own umbrella hat!
What is that on your chin?
My naturally gray beard. ;D
-
A professional photographer taking pictures said that there were with the Seattle Storm Women's basketball team! Knowing that my niece LOVES the Storm, I got a picture of them...and with them:
-
Yes, they really were that tall!
-
My niece knew exactly who both were and was VERY happy that I got her a couple other pictures of them.
-
During the walk, we had to walk behind the truck with the Mariner's DJ, snd the music was LOUD! :o
-
To continue...here's my friend David in his umbrella hat/cap combo:
Is David your married friend from Seattle?
-
The Moose took a moment to enjoy the music, too:
-
Here's a random picture of the crowd:
-
My car performed very well, except that I realized that the air conditioning doesn't get the car very cold. :-\
Can’t you lower the temperature?
That might be a smart idea!
Here's the top of the Space Needle flying the Pride Flag:
Thanks for suggesting it, Tom!
-
And one of the last places I took pictures was around the fountain at Seattle Center...here's a random pic:
-
We walked around the area some more, went to the place where the Mariner's after-party was and got something to drink, then walked some more and went to some shops, and walked around some more, then decided to get some dinner.
-
We went to Ivar's at the waterfront and had fish & chips on the outside tables overlooking the water.
-
Evidently, it's okay to feed the seagulls, so we threw French fries at them, and they caught most of them.
-
And one of the last places I took pictures was around the fountain at Seattle Center...here's a random pic:
Is that guy naked??
-
Then it was time for us to say our goodbyes and for me to head home, so we did and I did.
-
And one of the last places I took pictures was around the fountain at Seattle Center...here's a random pic:
Is that guy naked??
What?? Oh, I guess I got a picture of one of the several naked men. ::)
;)
-
Uh-huh.
-
There were three or four men just walking around the fountain...totally nekkid! No one cared. I didn't, however, see any nekkid women.
-
There were some women who were practically topless with just stickers covering their n*pples, but none who were totally undressed, like the guys.
-
After I got back to town, I went to my sister's and gave my niece her choice of the swag. She was happy.
-
Then I parked my car, but saw that my neighbors Shelly and her cousin Shannon were both still up, so I spent a few minutes chatting with them.
-
Then I came home, took a shower (boy, did I need it!) and finally posted about my day today.
-
One thing I forgot to mention was that before getting to the walk, we went to the Seattle Hard Rock Café and had a pre-march brunch.
-
We had made the reservations last week. It wasn't an official Pride event, so it cost us...$40 EACH! :o
-
It wasn't worth it! That was the only real negative. It cost so much and it wasn't a great brunch.
-
New notes are finally up.
