Hello, George, and congrats on your cool, new, blue car!
Enjoy it!
George, it’s always fun reading what you’ve been up to.
I have not posted here in a long time. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. I don’t post much, but I always keep up with the notes and discussions.
Fascinated by your niece’s chickens, your continuous good fortune with Phase 10, theater activities, and touched by how much your family supports each other. You are SUCH a good son, brother, and uncle.
HUGE property sale closing vibes for July the 8th!
Unless something goes terribly wrong, July 8 - a week from tomorrow - is the closing on that property sale. I need to buy a new computer and pay off a lot of debt, so keep any prayers, good wishes, or vibes that it successfully happens next week, please! please!! please!!!
My throats feeling better today
My throat is feeling better this morning
Hope. George is feeling better too
BK, what wild stories about your parents. What are your reactions to them? Does it explain anything, fill in any gaps?
Nothing about my family surprises me anymore. But this stuff was truly mind-boggling.
;)
Vibes to the sore throat people and to all of us who desperately need them.
Grand to have Dear Lurker Iris back where she belongs!

Glad to have the improving health reports from DR George and DR vixmom!
Vibes to Vixmom and George on making their sore throats history.
I've been trying to take care of various medical and dental visits. I had a waayyyy overdue dermatology appointment on Wednesday, which I thought would be just a preliminary consultation, but she saw a skin tag that concerned her and wanted a biopsy. I didn't think it was anything, but she removed it and did the biopsy. Benign. Life is full of little things that fortunately turn out to be insignificant, but you still need to go through the hoops. This one was easy.
Vibes for DRs Jeanne, George and Vixmom. Hope sore throats end soon.

I was going to put Horse on my to-read list. So, thanks for the alert.
Turns out I already have a hold on Horse. 32 on 8 copies.

Thanks, John! I'm definitely on the mend.
Jane, just newspapers.
Yes, the plan is to use as many of my B'way folks as possible if the roles are right.
Talking with another headhunter tomorrow. The job in question isn't my dream job, but it sounds interesting. Director of digital innovation. It's with an insurance company that has a good reputation. I am more interested in talking with the headhunter, though I'm sure she'd be happier if I were interested in this job.
Starting to watch The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent in which Nicolas Cage plays an actor named Nick Cage. The start is funny.

George must have seen the longest angry inch in history.

It was kind of a long show. ;)
They're having an opening act before each performance, and a different act for each weekend.

I enjoyed it...but didn't love it. All the performers were really good, but the show itself just didn't grab me like it seemed to grab everyone else. :-\

Where is this being done? I thought it was a touring company.

Harlequin Productions (https://harlequinproductions.org/) is presenting it, but I'd heard that the lead actor is a professional who travels around and plays the role for regional companies.
Reaction from the test script was great and so we're going to forge ahead with a new web series. I think the plan is to shoot in late September in New York.

Was he that much better than the rest of the cast?

The entire cast is Hedwig, Yitzhak, and the four band members.

The actor playing Hedwig was very good. The entire production was very good, too.
