Well, you've read the notes, the notes were blurbilicious, and now it is time for you to post until the blurbilicious cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FAWN!
-
Those were great blurbs, BK! Congrats! Can't wait to read the new book!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I, for one, didn't even know that Catone was ever in Utica.
-
But I'm sure that Utica, NY is a very fine place indeed.
-
Great blurbs - waiting with impatience to read THE BOOK.
-
The first full day of Spring!
-
~~~CONTINUED MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!!
-
I tried the "new" Perry Mason and gave up after the first episode. I can't remember exactly why now, but it just wasn't to my liking.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Not a bad night of sleep at all, but I had a horribly bad night before I went to bed. Nothing went right: spills, upset stomach, leg cramps, and I need a maid to come in once or twice a week to keep the apartment in better shape than I can at the present time.
-
I would bet that I saw every episode of Perry Mason when it originally ran. I have no interest in seeing any of them again, and I have no interest in seeing this updated model at all.
Good morning, all.
Great blurbs, BK.
~~~CONTINUED MODERN MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for the likes of BK!!!!!!!
A double dose.
-
I think it's just terrible that guinea pigs are trying to take away the jobs of personal shoppers.
-
Something must be done.
-
This is something up with which we shall not put.
-
It's a scandal.
-
It's an outrage!
-
I saw the original Perry Mason episodes in reruns. I also read quite a few of the books. I was told not yo bring them to school because some of the covers were racy.
-
And THAT"S what comes from men and women dancing.
-
I watched the first season of the new Perry Mason. It took about four episodes before it found its groove. I was not impressed. I don’t care if I see season two.
-
Now the third and final season of Sanditon has started. More sex than Jane Austen ever knew to include.
-
I wonder if William Parry ever played Perry.
-
In a periwinkle outfit.
-
Singdaw, shouldn’t you have taken us to page three by now?
-
Onward!
-
Two!
-
I slept. Better than the night before. But the decongestant is anti-drowsy and it doesn’t help.
-
It ain't for lack of trying, DR John G.
-
I was just going to say that I hope you are feeling a bit better and more rested today.
-
The new Zola novel, Doctor Pascal, is proving a good soporific. A few pages on Kindle and I am ready.

Or a euphemism.

We don't need no stinkin' euphemisms.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Had a very solid sleep, and I'm on the upside of my cold now. Today feels almost normal in comparison with the last two.
-
Dress rehearsal last night was grueling, to say the least. But it will come together.
-
Happy for the blurbs!
-
But are you happy for the 'burbs?
-
Glad to read that DR ChasSmith and DR John G. are feeling comparatively better today.

So.....there you are.
-
I am now on the second season of HBO's Perry Mason. The mystery is interesting....
I did not watch Perry Mason when it was first aired, although I could have.....not sure why....except that it must have been on opposite a lot of the westerns that we watched....A LOT.
-
As DR VIXMOM said - it is now on nightly after the half hour Carol Burnett Show on ME Tv. It is also on that channel at 9 a.m. in the morning.
And if VIXDAD got home an hour earlier he could watch two episodes of ADAM-12....at 5 p.m. I watch them everyday - or at least listen from the computer room.
-
I think posted this before.....Kent & Marty on Laugh-In.
Martin Milner's face when Kent McCord says: "Well - how about it?" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Glad to hear the blurbs have arrived.....and the project with Mr Haversty is moving apace.
-
DR ELMORE must be in Indiana Ballet Land.
-
45 degrees here and sunny....might be good for some airplane watching this afternoon!
-
Hello DR JEANNE. I missed you.
Yes you are correct - for a former beautician, Tammy's face was surprisingly makeup free. But I like the way they did the songs
And her last husband certainly got his due in the series. I thought then and I think now that Tammy Wynette would NEVER have left her kids NOTHING in her will.
-
No news as yet on the arrest of.....that man.
-
DR Rodzinski, I am glad you survived your birthday celebration ;)
-
I am also very glad we could help celebrate the birthday here. It is nice to have you back.

We will not be watching season two of the new Perry Mason. We prefer the original show though I have been told the new series is closer to the novels.

Good one, DR singdaw.

DR ELMORE must be in Indiana Ballet Land.
Actually, I was in Laundry Land. I just finished it.

Sadly, we weren’t Perry Mason watchers, for whatever reason, and I have no idea what we might have been watching instead.

I just read the notes.

Nice blurbs!
-
Perry Mason is a show my brother would have watched and I would have begun watching the show with him.
-
It first aired at 9:00pm on Saturday September 21, 1957.
-
Being a Saturday I might have been permitted to stay up that late to watch it with him. I had a rather strict early bedtime.
-
I watched all of the Perry Mason movies with Keith.
-
After watching the season one reboot of Mason, we watched the entire original series.
-
Almost the entire series. I think there were a number of episodes missing.

Criterion is having a 50% off sale on the website.

For over ten years, I have posted a number of tracks I orchestrated for BK's recordings on Soundcloud for demo purposes. Today, Soundcloud started deleting all they considered a copyright violation, everything from "There's Always a Woman" to "Ragtime Romeo." I suspect Concord Theatricals, who now owns those recordings, has copyrighted them as their own.
-
Wow - that really stinks, DR elmore3003.
-
Anyone who has an Apple Music subscription (as I do) can access those tracks on an unlimited basis, but that doesn't help you out much.

I used to shop at Chess King - when I wanted the absolute latest in fashion.
Usually the clothes became out of date on the way home.
-
That's a bummer DR ELMORE.
-
I'm up, I'm up - got up at twelve-thirty after about seven hours of sleep. Rough night in Jericho for me - I never learn - I cannot eat ice cream from Coldstone Creamery, cannot digest it and it gives me problems no other ice cream place does.
-
Already went to the mail place - no green envelope so I now have to call the WGA and get a replacement check. I did get a similar amount from a SAG residual, so that was nice.

I’m scared:
"I'm so excited for audiences to see and hear Aaron Sorkin's book," Soo said in an exclusive statement to EW. "It has lifted this age-old story to meet us where we are today. Camelot is a story of truth, justice, inspiration, and hope. Bringing this story to life every day, the massive responsibility I feel is outweighed only by the joy and pride I feel to be a part of such a piece."
-
George, how are rehearsals going for Sunday?
-
Good to see you, Tom.
Thank you, John, always good to see you.
-
George, what are you doing on Sunday? They still have one pope left alive don't they?
-
Hello, DR TCB!
-
DR George is IN Sunday.
-
We have been watching the ice floes break up on the Mississippi. It's quite a parade.
-
They are quite massive.
-
One was traveling down the river with two bald eagles sitting on it!
-
Of course, that doesn't mean anything. They had two of the late popes still on display when I was in Rome.
-
It seems a pretty inefficient mode of travel, when you can fly.
-
Happy Belated Birthday to Rodzinski!!
-
DR John G. is napping.
-
I myself don't have such an excuse.
-
But I can crank out a few more posts.
-
Because, why not?

Maybe you can request that your local library purchase it?? ;)

Good evening
-
So wonderful to see TCB here
-
I decided to watch WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION on TCM.
It's a movie that I enjoy very much.
-
Speaking of which - since SHOWTIME is free for me this week, I was perusing their movie selections....and included in the list was:
THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL
So I am hoping that is generating some income for MR BK that he can add to the $1k savings on his phone plan.
-
Back from nearby Spectrum. Phone activated, SIM card didn't need to be removed because there was none - all electronic these days. There was no way to lose anything from the phone, it's all backed up to the Cloud, but the only thing I had to redo was a new password for voice mail and to re-record my personal greeting, which I may nuke and just use whatever they have.
-
Watching the Meredith Willson special. Enjoying it. Jonathan Tunick should do more of these shows, and Michael Feinstein should do less.
-
Everything else is perfect and it now says Spectrum rather than ATT. Since I was JUST billed yesterday for the upcoming month, they will owe me a refund of all but two days. I'm gonna call ATT to make sure I get that in a timely fashion.
-

Glad you got the phone situation straightened out, BK. I hope you like Spectrum. They provide my Internet and have been much easier to work with than AT&T. Better quality, too.
-
Thank you, TCB!

Awaiting boarding flight from Papeete to Los Angeles.

Thank you also to Kevin H!

Travel vibes for Rodzinski.
Thank you! Gotta get back in my own time zone!

Travel vibes for the Rodzinskis

Watching Perry Mason - I think what's interesting is that the thinking of the imdb reviewers is that no one remembers Perry Mason, so why even call it Perry Mason? They obviously think everyone remembers, hence reboot and rebrand. Had they just called it something else I might enjoy it better, although the whole LA corruption thing is so tired.
-
I watched a little bit of the new Perry Mason and it was a little bit too graphic...not that things like that couldn't (or didn't) happen back then, but it's not what I'm interested in.
-
I do like Matthew Rhys, though...he's a cutie. ;)
-
Two posts in three hours. Good job! Ten pages through nine o'clock and we couldn't get off this damn page?
-
Really?
-
I thought for sure we'd crack three hundred.
-
But nooooo...
-
I talk more about Perry in the notes.
-
I really do.
-
Did George go down some rabbit hole?
-
He appears to be here and yet I don't seen any posts.
-
Even though he's here.
-
No posts in three minutes.
-
We could have had fifty posts in three minutes.
-
Instead we had three posts in 180 minutes.
-
Most unseemly.
-
Oh well, nothing to be done.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Well, we ARE close.
-
We just are.
-
How close are we?
-
THIS close. Page eleven has made its entrance.
-
At long last.
-
It's been very patient.
-
I have NO idea what George is doing.
-
No idea at all.
-
None.
-
Nada.
-
Haven't a clew.
-
Do you have a clew?
-
We did make it past three hundred postings and that's damn fine.
