Pour ce soir M. Kimmel
Mange Merde!
Cute story about the grandlads having their little notepads. I wonder how much stuff they will put on their lists!I'm wondering how much writing I'll have to do, keeping up with William. He can't write yet!
Some nincompoop is trimming a tree next door - started at eight. Blue skies out, but VERY windy. I shall soon have my cup of EmergenC, and hopefully that will restore some of my voice.
Good morning, all! I'm into the last two weeks (I think) of playing in Toyland, and I still have to finish the fershlugganah notes! This weekend's priority, however, is the holiday orchestrations for the Dec 14 concert. I still have no idea what anyone is getting for Christmas. Oy!
Does anyone here ever get sick to death of an overused expression? Examples, please.
Vibes to bk and his "Glittering Diamonds:"
"Glittering Diamonds...75 Years and Beyond: On December 3, 2005, one of the most jubilant events in the history of Los Angeles City College will take place on the Vermont Avenue campus. A star-studded salute to the achievements of the students, faculty, and staff of the Theatre Department and Academy will be held at 8:00 pm in the Camino Theatre. This concert-style benefit performance celebrates 75 years of excellence in theatre education and training. The once-in-a-lifetime show will feature appearances by celebrity alumni Cindy Williams, Mark Hamill, Hugh O'Brian, Diana Canova, Victor Love, Annette Cardona, Alex Henteloff, and Michael Lembeck, among others. Directed by Al Rossi and Bruce Kimmel, with Musical Direction by Rob Bowers, the evening will consist of songs and scenes, with tributes to distinguished alumni, including Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Charles Gordone, award-winning actor Paul Winfield, and one of American's most important theatre directors, José Quintero. Video montages of the film and television work of these and many other professional alumni will be an integral part of the event. Many current Theatre Academy students will also appear. The event will include a silent auction of theatrical memorabilia, and conclude with a post-performance champagne reception for performers and audience. This opportunity to renew old friendships, create new ones, and affirm the continuity and continuing excellence of the training at LACC is a one night only experience, memories of which, like diamonds, will last forever. Producer of the event is Fred Fate, Chair of the Theatre Academy, in association with Tina Saddington, president of the LACC Theatre Alumni and Associates, and Richard Galope, Executive Director of the LACC Foundation. All proceeds will go to providing student scholarships and to support continuing development of the programs of the Theatre Academy. For more details and ticket information call the Theatre Academy Box Office at (323) 953-4000 x2990."

DR Cillaliz - don't you wish we could go to the show?
And, thanks to you for the article about Paul's mural.
Cillaliz do you do a different photo for every month? I bet everyone looks forward to your gift.
I want to make my own calendars! I wonder if there are any places here that sell that kit. I've seen many places that make the calendars for you. I wonder if the prices would be similar.
DR Jane, how do you tell your friends you are not sending gifts. You just say it? I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I guess it could work!
Antonia, I mean TPunk, is a huge Sudoku fan. As—judging by what I see on the subway each day—is half of NYC. This craze just kinda came out of nowhere!
Jason, while not as cute as the giraffes you posted and this isn’t a very flattering photo, this guy resides in our living room.
He arrived today and we have yet to name him. Suggestions will be welcome.
Keith just loves his Rock-ola.
How do you know that he's a guy?? ;)
I have a friend, Misi (pronounced just like "Missy" and that's her full, legal name...she had it changed) who loves and used to collect giraffes. If your giraffe was a girl, I'd suggest naming after her (even though you've never met her). She moved to Portland last year to be near her son and grandkids. I haven't seen her since then, but I've heard that she's doing well. :D
Well, I don't really, that came from Keith.
So I asked Keith how he knows it's a guy and he said it's asexual and George (his original idea to name it after my brother) could also be a girl’s name.
Misi is cute and much better than Missy. I will pass your suggestion on to Keith. Thanks.
Is this some Canadian "good luck" expression?
Eat excrement??????
Gosh, TCM on Monday is airing the movies of 3 of my interviewees!
Rancho Notorious with Gloria Henry
Clash by Night with Keith Andes
Pennies from Heaven with Edith Fellows
I am sure it is just a coincidence! LOL!
Yes, indeed. Thank you in advance JRand. My birthday isn't until March, and a lot of people would not say that was "VERY VERY soon", but not you. You're looking out for me and I definitely cannot wait to see what you got me. It will make up for the lack of holiday gift from Jane this year.
:) :) :)
Also got my John Gabriel, star of HELL'S BLOODY DEVILS, CD in the mail today! 95 cents plus postage! LOL! What a bargain!
But you know, he is one heck of a good singer!
Keith did a dance with a sombrero and Jane Powell in THE GIRL MOST LIKELY.
However many chickens you think you got, count them eggs again. ;D
Is that a gentle way of saying I needn't be watching the mails?
DR JRand - do you know your work schedule for next weekend? DH, DS, and I will be in Indianapolis to attend the Lord of the Rings exhibit Sunday at the Indiana State Museum. If I visit your store on my actual birthday, do I get a super-Sagittarius discount?
Well, I had best round up some grub and then finish my Bollywood movie so that I can start another Bollywood movie.
We used to have Weinerschintzel in Oregon, but I haven't come across one in about 15 years or so. I wonder if the one in Medford is still open?
JRand-there are multiple HHW birthdays in December and mine is next. ;)
I checked the new CD’s that arrived, no Annette- something we should correct. My thoughts are with her and my best wishes she can stay in her home.
DR GINNY - I will be there from 3 pm to 8 pm on Saturday and from Noon until 6 pm on Sunday.
And yes Saggitarians receive a 10% discount on all merchandise!

Yes, Rodzinski, you do have a backlog of movies! A killer tree trunk with your name on it, for one!
Not to mention some swinging 60s beach bunnies dancing to the the Del Air's singing the Zombie Stomp on Party Beach whilst a horror awaits them in the surf! That is a must see!

Oh, dear, well no, DRJANE, the gift was not for you either....nor for MR BK!
Oh! :P

Rodzinski and TPunk, next time you visit Northern California, think about taking a drive to Ashland.
If I had a GY-raffe - I would name it Audrey.
Thanks for the LACC story link, DRGINNY.
And DRCILLALIZ thanks for the link about Paul's mural. Your pictures were MUCH better! That is a beautiful piece of artwork.
I understand the film version of Rent will undergo a title change when it plays in The UK, Australia and New Zealand. It will be called "To Let".
