Does anybody here know why Mia Michaels has left SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?

I think she just wants to do more of her own work, and not be restricted to choreographing in 2-4 minute segments.  A friend of mine works for a dance studio that she teaches at here in NYC, and he's noticed that she's scheduled to teach more classes and workshops this season. She may be leaving the show, but she's not leaving the business.  It simply may have been time for her to leave the show and move on to something new.  -And she did express that this past season was not one of her favorites, with not choreographing as often as she used to as one of her "complaints".

Thanks. It just seems weird that she would quit after doing all the auditions and choosing the cast. Why quit midseason?

It seems like she is just quitting the US version since she is gonna be on the finale in canada on sunday (and choreographing a routine).

It just seems odd to me, since she could just do a few routines in the US version if she was busy with other stuff.

Maybe she was unhappy with the top 20?

I have a feeling that she'll be back as a guest judge or guest choreographer.

And she was probably still contracted to finish out the Canadian version.

*However, I would LOVE to hear that the reason she left was the "elevation of Tyce" that seems to be going on. If there's anyone who should not be on that show, it's him.

Or maybe she wanted the permanent judge spot that adam shankman got?

I don't mind tyce.

I don't think she is planning on being back on the US version this season, otherwise why would she say she was gone?

I love it when the US judges come on the Canadian version since i dislike most of the canadian judges.  Our head judge is jean-marc (who has been on the US show). And we also have blake (who was a former contestant on the first or second season of the US show). But thankfully most weeks we've had mia or mary murphy or dan!

Well... I'll be back in my "Classical Mode" tomorrow for a few hours playing for some voice lessons.  Hopefully, I won't have to play any of the "24". ;)

Goodnight.

My workplace has been blasting the radio the whole day and I am damn sick of it. How can I get these kids to give the ol' Great American Songbook a chance?

I went to Jerry's and had some bacon and eggs - there are days when one meal just doesn't do it, especially after five days in a row of the long jog - so I had to splurge today.  Tomorrow, I'll be back at the long jog and then just have my pasta papa and be done with it, and no Caesar Salad.

I can't believe it. i am actually enjoying GLEE tonight!

Nice!  I have to record it.  I'm going to see Nunsense, tonight...actually, I'm going there now.

Until later!

Nunsense tonight was quite good and a lot of fun!  The audience was quite full (they only have about 120 seats) and they got a deserved standing "o".

GLEE was simply wonderful. It was a great showcase episode for Matthew Morrison, and Puck got to have a solo finally which I enjoyed.

I really enjoyed it, too.  I'm glad they didn't show much (any?) of Matthew Morrison's wife. ::)
