I watched LIFEBOAT last night on TCM.  Very Good!!

It was so clever the way Alfred Hitchcock appeared in the movie!

Can anyone guess (without looking it up where)?

We just finished watching the Newsroom - I liked how it ended but we weren't very happy with the show this season

What didn't you like?

Because of the way it ended,  Vixdad believes it was not renewed

I was thinking that, but then they all said they aren't resigning, so....

Sorry I have been absent all day.  We had some bad ightening storms this afternoon.  And, of course (I know you knew this), the Seahawks are playing tonight on NBC.

I'm watching Miss America and I'm still waiting for the live (well, tape delayed) talent competition.  Miss Florida, who twirled batons, injured her ACL during the preliminary competition and has to wear a leg brace.  She re-did the preliminaries and won!

My afternoon, at my boyfriends  ;D

I did sit in the living room, in front of the TV, most of the day, watching football.

I was quizzed, A LOT, about what I remember from last season.

The ball moves back and forth, what's for dinner ?

The day was fun.   :)

Football and living rooms are good company.

Did I mention recliners and TV trays.

She has a nice voice and singing it quite well, but she's smiling through the whole song and not actually "performing" it...just my opinion.

Back from this weird birthday bash where someone threw themselves a birthday party and had a bunch (twelve) singers sing in his club.  It would never occur to me to do anything quite like that, but it was fine and some of the singers did a good job, especially Jason Graae, who, as always, killed.  Our Jenna Lea Rosen did her Dear Mr. Gershwin number - and came through like a pro in the face of some of the worst piano playing I've ever heard.  Jenna was asked at the last minute to do it, and we sent them the chart with all the accents and markings from our show as well as the link to the video.  All this guy had to do was watch it, make notes, and play it, but that apparently was too much for him and so instead there were no downbeats, no accents and poor Jenna just had to really sell and keep in it, which she did like the pro she is.

Miss New York is up next and twice now, she didn't hear her name being called.

Hmm...I wonder what that means for her chances.

The top two Miss America contestants are both Asian!  Miss California is Chinese and Miss New York is Indian (India).  And I just came across an article that said Miss California's name is Crystal Lee and Miss Hawaii is ALSO named Crystal Lee.  That's the first time that two contestants with the same name competed together.

Now, it's over.  I won't say who won, but I hope that no one minds at least knowing the top two. :)
