Well, no one can say we didn't get to page six.

Well, they can't say it now anyway.

I think I've had enough cocktail conference after 10 hours of it.

No SAG spoiler, just about a presenter, not about an award:

Was Emma Thompson acting a little goofy, or was she just a little drunk when she presented?

She acted the same way the other day at one of the other awards shows.  I think it was an act, but who knows.

Tonight is the SAG awards. We don't get TBS in Canada. But Global is showing it, but only tomorrow night.  I thought that the awards were on tomorrow since i saw them in the tv listings. I guess I will just have to try not to see the winners.

I couldn't understand why there was no E! red carpet. But now when I look in my tv's guide I see they are on today (which makes sense now).

I set my DVR to record this.  It's going to start in about 10 minutes.  I have to get ready now to usher for Turtle Island Quartet with Nellie McKay.  I'll watch them tonight.  Tomorrow, I'm ushering again, so I'd better not get my shirt dirty...I only have one clean white shirt I don't have time to wash another one, or this one again.

Be back later!

Well, the concert was great!  Both the Turtle Island Quartet and Nellie McKay put on great shows.

I sold merchandise with Margo, so after the show, I got to stand next to Nellie when she signed stuff.

She had four different CDs and one of the CDs was also available on vinyl...only four copies, though.  Two copies of the vinyl sold to regular patrons, and I bought one, also.  She and the quartet signed after the show and she signed my album!

I'll try to scan it or take a picture tomorrow.  I tried tonight and I couldn't get it at the right angle so that the flash wouldn't wash out the image.

If anyone gets a chance to see either the Turtle Island Quartet or Nellie McKay (pronounced "mckye"), or them together, go see them!  Highly recommended by the likes of me. ;D

And that made me think.  How old would someone be to have grown up in a world that always had microwaves?  I can't imagine that.

My sister's boyfriend only got a microwave for the first time about 10 years ago.  He held out for a long time!

No SAG spoiler, just about a presenter, not about an award:

Was Emma Thompson acting a little goofy, or was she just a little drunk when she presented?

Emma Thomson seemed to be a bit tipsy when she presented at the Golden Globes, too.

Well, I need to go to bed.  I am ushering again tomorrow for a filmed version of "The Magic Flute."

Good night, all.
