I'm back, and to prove it, I'm here.  We had a wonderful show tonight with a wonderful audience, but more about that in the notes, which I must now write.

Wow! Over 200 posts. Very nice.

The show was terrific. I enjoy it more each time I see it. The audience was roaring with laughter. And in the more mellow parts, you could hear a pin drop. They loved it all.

I was out most of the day and this evening and have now caught up on today's notes.

I saw a film called Proteus today, Dear Readers.  The story is based on a factual incident that occurred in South Africa in the early 18th century.  It tells the tale of two prisoners of a nasty justice system--one black, one white--who become lovers.  The narrative is made metaphoric of the treatment of gays throughout history by the inclusion of various anachronistic elements, such as modern dress for a master of torture who appears throughout the film, the use of electricity in several scenes and so on.  The film is gripping and steers clear of the pitfalls to which it might have easily succumbed.

Dear Reader Panni is way ahead of me but I will be seeing What If?  A Musical Revue for a second time next Thursday along with some friends who'll be seeing it for the first time.

I need a massage, I need a foot rub, I need a complete overhaul, I need my 56,000 mile tune-up.
