This is a most novel way to pull out a child's loose tooth.  AND why mothers should always be reticent when leaving the kids alone with dad.

I made a boiled New England dinner today to celebrate St Pats.  Then I did my taxes

Is that  corned beef and cabbage?

Corned beef potatoes, carrots and cabbage

My Mom used to make that -  no carrots though, but I never heard it called a Boston boiled dinner before

I love it  but the picky PICKY people in my house will not eat it and complain about the smell of the cabbage so I do not make it for myself

I'd eat it in a second.

We are in the melting/freezing/thawing cycle here. It makes the sidewalks particularly treacherous, and it lasts for weeks.     :P

tonight the latest release of The Great Gatsby was on the cable...
what in the world was the director thinking  with that music?

Right there in the beginning when it started in with the rap "music"... the movie was ruined for me

Thinking or drinking? Or smoking?

There are way too many items which fall into that category for me.  Unfortunately.

  Corned beef potatoes

I like Yukon Gold, myself.       8)

I remember Yukon Cornelius from "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer".  A distant relative to Don Cornelius if I'm remembering CONTIGUOUSLY (in a stream of consciousness).

I've just been viewing and relaxing and having a few low-cal snacks along the way.  Finished The Bride and one motion picture.

So somebody at church  went to the trouble to make a BEAUTIFUL poster in support of the food pantry and soup kitchen , it must have taken them hours with the calligraphy and beautiful hand drawn pictures

 it says:

Donations of food are being accepted to help restock the food pantry and to elevate the cost of running the soup kitchen

I don't have the heart to tell them that the word they were looking for was alleviate

One hears of certain legendary performances and I've always heard how amazing Harold Lang was in Pal Joey but I've never seen him do anything - but someone posted this on You Tube and it's pretty breathtaking
