And do take the time to read Jrand's review - lovely writing and no spoilers.

Funny to see one person in that haineshisway.com get-together photo, since he hasn't been around these here parts in, oh, two years, and probably wouldn't know anybody else in the photo were it not for the relationships developed here.  :)  He should try coming back for a while.

I'm twirling a Red Dust keychain around on my right index finger.

I can grok that the day needs to end the same way it started:

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Great picture!  Is that Ginny's Richard in the back row next to the errant and truant Jose?  If it is, I don't think that I've ever seen a picture of him with a clean shaven face.  If it isn't Richard, I don't know who he is. :-\

But should I (if he isn't Richard)??

Well, I'll find out later, I'm sure.  I must be off for home.  I have to do laundry before it gets too late.  I'm working concessions tomorrow night and have to have something nice to wear.

Be back later!

It is indeed Richard!

And no problem with the rain, DR Ginny.  For a few minutes I thought it was going to get really annoying, as rain has a way of getting when you're driving, especially at night, but mostly it was either very light or not coming down at all.

This was a superb get-together, if'n I say so myself.

Enjoyed my first meal at Brooklyn Diner.  The chicken pot pie was something that by all rights should keep me going through the end of the week.  I am also very intrigued by the mac and cheese which DR Elmore said was also great, but what he didn't say was that it includes PASTRAMI.  That's what I'm having next time.

DR Elmore and I discussed wrong notes over drinks, and then did the Wrong Note Rag whilst crossing 57th Street.

No, wait.  Part of that isn't true.  Let me sort it out and try again.

And THE MOST HAPPY FELLA was sublime.  I'll say more than it tomorrow, because I'm starting to fade here.  But I'm glad to hear DR Ginny say they loved their first Encores! experience, because it really is a very special thing.  My seat in the mezzanine was surprisingly good, too, I must say.

Note to vixmom:

Using a coupon from the NYC parking website, I paid $25 for a $43 eight-hour stay in a large Icon garage on 53rd.  Don't leave home without it.

I had a great time at our get-together.  It was so nice to finally meet DR Ginny and DH Richard.
