Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Thanks for that beautiful picture of Miss Luker!

I'm a lurker for Luker!

I was reading past posts about A Baker's Wife -- based on that French cult movie La Femme Du Boulanger -- and i'm confused by the confusion of most from the fact that the wife is not "lovable"!
Please, don't blame the American adaptors; it's ALL in the original play by Marcel Pagnol. "We" have no problem "hating" Geneviève!

Maybe I don't understand the whole thing so excuse me then...
I've never seen the musical myself, but I sure love the score!

5:50 am here: International Herald Tribune just in, and this is what i find!

The actress Susan Sarandon will narrate an 11-part radio documentary series about the life of the composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. Just about every aspect of his life and career will be explored in "Leonard Bernstein: An American Life" through the words of his correspondence and interviews with more than 100 people who knew and worked with him, including the conductor Marin Alsop, the songwriter Betty Comden and the composer Stephen Sondheim. The longtime music director of the New York Philharmonic, Bernstein led orchestras around the world, was a top pianist and composed numerous works, including the music for "West Side Story." He died in 1990 at 72.

I've had my See's fix, so not DT's tonight. The sample they were offering was not great (chocolate mint) so I had to shell out money for a few pieces I liked.

I had a lovely intermission telephone call from Michael Shayne, who said that the show was wonderful tonight.
What a pleasant surprise to be at the theater, even if only on the other end of the telephone line.

I also had a pleasant surprise, DRs. I was sitting around minding my own business, noshing on some popcorn, when bk called and invited me to Musso and Frank to meet DR Michael Shayne. I got out of my popcorn noshing clothes, jumped in my car and sped away to M&F. It was a pleasure to meet DR Michael Shayne and his friend. DR Jose was  there, of course, as was the excellent Paul Haber from the cast of WHAT IF?
A brief, but lovely outing. And I even got to give DR Jose a lift to the Metro.
