Last year, the Symphony kicked out the ushers because too many of them were making noise during the performance, and the acoustics are so good you can hear a pin drop in the place.

Tonight, I had to report on an usher for bringing in a bottle of water (forbidden), who proceeded to crinkle it for far too long.

The same usher later got into a fight with her husband in the theater and another usher reported them.

Trouble is, they know me from ushering and I know they are friends with the CEO of my company. I hope it never gets back to them that I ratted her out.

Yikes!  We're allowed to have a bottle of water.  One time I had to turn in another usher for being on her cell phone the entire time instead of seating people.  We didn't (and still don't) really know each other, so there wasn't any chance of her finding out that it was me.

George, I found a couple of Manhattan Transfer CDs I didn't know: Tonin' and The Spirit of St. Louis.

Should be fun.

I like both of those.  Tonin' isn't one of my top favorites, but it's certainly enjoyable.

Well, our "Physician" run-through went quite well.  We had some fun and it should be a good performance tomorrow.  We do have some tickets sold, so it won't be an empty house...which is always a good thing.

Bumblescratch came in the mail today.

Great!  I hope you enjoy it.  I've only had time to listen to the first act, but will finish it next week (I left it at my work).

Oh, oh.  Good vibes they do not find out about it.

When we were in San Antonio I had one of those noisy water bottles next to my bed.  I didn'the realize how loud it crinkled until I needed water during the night ;D

There have been a couple of time where I had to ask other ushers (both men) to stop jingling the coins in their pockets.  I even had to "suggest" to one that he just keep his hands out of his pockets because he couldn't stop jingling the darned coins.

Tomorrow is the Seahawks wildcard playoff game.

One of our actors (the lead, actually) is a DIE-HARD Seahawks fan and will practically kill anyone who reveals the scores during our show.

Great news, Tom!
