I tried to get into the urgent care center, but the wait time to be seen was three hours.

Yikes!  Hopefully, you can get that changed very soon!  And get it changed on a regular schedule.

For the last several months (I think), my mom has been changing the dressing for a former neighbor who has an exposed tumor that's metastasized.  Evidently, this woman got the diagnosis but never went back for any treatment. :-/ My mom doesn't really know why.
