So, I went into the pharmacy and picked up my meds.  The staff and I joked about how much he actually entered, and I said he was probably off to Florida by now on my debit card.  I told them that when I got home, I'd check my bank account online and see if I was charged $9.70 or something else.  Well, the bastard gave himself a $20.00 tip. $29.70 was charged to his cab.

I just got off the phone with my bank from filing a complaint.

How annoying!

There was a time when using a debit card didn't give the protection of a credit card in situations like this. I don't know if that's still true. I hope you get your money back.

We have the bowl water advisory in effect. I'm getting emails that there's a run on gasoline. Who knows what else.

Did you mean "boil water"? Otherwise, it's a rather unsavory image.

Wow, DR John G.  It sounds like an apocalyptic world down there.

It is. It's people being denied their creature comforts.

I watched the first hour of The Black Church on PBS. Some mighty fine music. I'll catch the rest another time.

Well, I missed a vaccination opportunity today.  I'm on a list to be called if Kaiser has any left over vaccinations for the day and when they called, I was in rehearsal.  I picked up the phone, but I was told I had to be there in 20 minutes and there was not way.  Maybe if I had been prepared to run out the door, I would have made it.  Anyway, my name is still on the list and I've alerted both directors of both shows that if I get a call during rehearsal again, I am ending the Zoom meeting immediately and getting in my car.

Anyway, according to San Mateo County, they are opening up the next tier for teachers next week, so it may all work out.  Til then, business as usual!

Another Dutch oven on sale, Vixmom. It ain’t cheap, but it’s still 60% off.

That looks pretty but unfortunately I dropped the cost on a chiropractor appointment instead as they don’t accept my insurance

I hope it was worth it.

I found out from friends that their H-E-B was closed. No power. No nothing.

You didn't realize how lucky you were.

You know, once again I have to question your priorities. A Dutch oven that you need a strong back in order to use or a strong back?

I used to use enameled cast iron pots to cook with. They were lovely, but HEAVY! Yes, you need a strong back. I must use lighter cookware these days.  Not that I cook much anymore.

Same here.

I hope I just fixed the problem causing my phone battery to drain.  If not I will have to decide if I want to replace the battery.  I would like the new mini iPhone, however, as far as I can tell the problem connecting to hearing aids as not been fixed yet.

Jane, are you referring to the 2020 SE?

I was referring to the 12 mini.

Some weird things are going on with my hands. I'm considering becoming a hand model buying a wrist brace.

Singdaw, are you familiar with the Incrediwear products? I'm forever spraining/straining my wrists. I have two wrist braces, but it's the Incrediwear brace I wear the most. It's very comfortable to wear.

Hope your hands feel better soon.

Tis is very different from the one I wear.  I am going to read more about it.

DR George - thanks for the link to America's Test Kitchen. Such a wealth of information!  I have seen the show on television occasionally.

My pleasure!  I really enjoy the show, even just watching.  And one of the guys, Dan, is a real cutie! ;)

They did a live version in San Antonio back when Christopher whats-his-name was still with the show. It was fun. I ushered for and then bought their 50-pound cookbook.

I always found Christopher creepy.  Now he's on a cooking program called Milk Street.  Don't ask me why.

He's very AR. I can sympathize.

He is very ar?

George, have you ever heard of a local actor down there named Duane Petersen?

I may have seen him in something, that name sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't know him.

Well, he is dead.

All the talk of THE KING AND I caused me to watch the Lincoln Center/London Revival again.  I was able fast forward thru “The Small House of Uncle Thomas,” so I enjoyed it a lot more.

I must say that Dean John-Wilson, who plays the young lover Lun Tha has the largest boobs of anyone in the entire cast.  He was not in the New York production.
