Another not much to say day.

Maybe it's better that way.   8)

Good Evening!

...At intermission earlier tonight, I could have sworn that it was already Friday. Well, rather, hoped that it was already Friday. -Those understudy rehearsals/runs followed by a full show really take it out of me. -And everyone else. Thankfully - hopefully - we will only be having ONE full understudy rehearsal each week for the four remaining weeks of the run.

What a long, involved day of non-stop doing and going.  We had a very good second Gardenia rehearsal, and The Singer is now in the show due to the illness of one of our cast members.  I asked her to cover that track over a week ago so she's very up on the music.

Did the four-mile jog, of course, as well as filled out yet more forms for Nudie Musical - apparently I'll get the revised check disc tomorrow, although only if they deliver it to the home environment as I'll be out shooting all day.

Dined with Melody and her folks at a place called Granville in Burbank - I had the first splurge meal (which I'd like to do once a week) in three weeks - mac and cheese (with chicken mixed in) - very good.  We had a lot of fun.  I can't remember what all else I did but whatever it was it was non-stop.  I did revise my little "note" about the Nudie transfer that we're including in an insert inside the packaging.

I also had to print out all the SAG paperwork for the shoot, script, CD for playback, and I hope to heaven I'm not forgetting anything.  Must pack up the laptop right now, as we'll need that there.

And...

Frankly...

I'm very tired. Verging on exhausted. -Thankfully, the only thing I have to do tomorrow is play the show at 8:00pm. So...

Goodnight.

It's nearly time to say goodnight to all our company.....

But first:  Over in Miss Vee's condo, this evening, I (1) scoured the sink till it was white again (Bar Keeper's Friend to the rescue); (2) used the same product on some stubborn countertop stains (successfully!); (3) swept the kitchen floor (and was appalled at how much I swept up); (4) used Mr. Clean all-purpose and swabbed the kitchen floor...THREE times before it was spotless; (5) vacuumed the living room, hallway and bedroom where Miss Vee was hiding; (6) used Mr. Clean all-purpose and swabbed the entryway (all tiled) after noticing for the first time how filthy it all was.   I spent 90 minutes cleaning.

I also "touched" Miss Vee.  Very briefly.   When I entered the bedroom with the vacuum, she dashed out.  I discovered, after putting the vacuum away, that she had dashed onto the balcony.  Without trying to trap her, I cajoled her to come to me...which she started to do, then she scooted around me.  I managed to stroke her back as she retreated back to the bedroom.

Baby steps, I reckon.
