Listening to what will be the second half of a great upcoming project - the first half we've had for ages - but it's only fourteen minutes long, the entire duration of that score in the film it's from, although we have about ten to fifteen minutes of alternates.  But we've finally just transferred the companion score, same composer, and it's so beautiful, plus it has some nice forties style big-band stuff, too.

Hi everyone who is still awake.  Back from a great rehearsal.  This show might actually turn out great.  Tomorrow is the first day at school with the kids and I'm totally looking forward to seeing them.

Well, it's time for the theater!  Our first preview audience will be there!

Be back later!

We had a pretty darned good show tonight.  There was an audience of about 20 and they seemed to enjoy the show.  I didn't get to see if there was anyone I knew.  I don't really get a chance to actually look at any audience members while I'm on stage.  I think several friends are coming tomorrow night.  I'm sure that they'll stick around after the show.

The only real goober tonight was during my big cop scene between Kershaw (me) and Stycks (the young, giant puppy dog of a cop played by a guy named Guy).  We're trying to get into the building and we try to literally knock down the walls, but Guy's gun went off! :o It's just a starter pistol, but it was loud.

The problem is that Stycks is actually supposed to shoot his gun a little later in the scene and someone inside the building gets shot.  The actress who gets shot was outside in the hall and screamed when the gun went off, which is what she is supposed to do, but it was early.  We had no choice but to continue from that point.  I figure that we only lost about half a page, but still....

Tomorrow, Guy is going to try something different, but I don't know what.  I'm not wearing my gun during that scene because I never use it and I don't have a holster.  The only time I use the gun is at the very end when we shoot [REDACTED]. ;) Then the show is over.
