And a nervous titter ran through the cloud - isn't that the expression?

I don't think my titters are the worst part!

Well, on the Titanic, we drank it hot.  But over ice isn't that different than having chilled consommé.

oh I know,  I am looking for a retirement more like Jane's or Ginny's but I suspect I will be spending my golden years saying "Welcome to Walmart"

If I hadn't gotten SS Disability, that is what I would be doing,

Having trouble posting again tonight, especially when trying to quote someone.

When I got home tonight, I couldn't get to www.haineshisway.com at all!  I was also having trouble accessing my Comcast e-mail.  I called Comcast customer service and while I was on hold, my Firefox browser was updated and I had no trouble getting onto HHW and my e-mail.

However, while Comcast had me on the phone (and I hope that I didn't make a bad choice), they said that I'm eligible for a service upgrade...I could get up to 50 MBPS speeds AND get some pay channels, for about the same amount of money that I'm paying now.  I would also get a new cable modem/wi-fi router for FREE!

My sister's boyfriend bought me a cable modem for my birthday last year and it's been working fine, but since this upgraded modem/router is free, why not try it.  I haven't paid this month's cable bill yet (I should get it in a few days), so I might find out fairly soon exactly how much more I'm going to pay.  But if it includes the premium channels at no additional cost, it should be okay.

And on that note (B-natural), I'm off to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts to take part in filming an usher training movie that will be used to help train ushers for the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.

Be back later!

Well, the filming at The Center was fun.  It was mainly us walking in the front doors and pretending to sign in, getting our usher chat from the front-of-house manager, tearing tickets as "patrons" (other ushers in street clothes) entered, preventing "patrons" from leaving the building when they're carrying alcohol...things like that.  It all took just a couple of hours and we really did have a lot of fun.  Only eight people showed up, but it all worked out.  All volunteers are supposed to take the volunteer training every two years and this month is my two year requirement, so I'll actually get to see the finished video in action!

We also got a tour of the building.  They repainted the concessions kitchen and the green room downstairs, although right after they painted the green room (not green) and put in new carpet on Thursday, it flooded!  It must've happened late Friday night because they found out Saturday morning!  The water somehow leaked in from underground.  That's never happened before.  They were able to get most of it cleaned up, but they'll probably have to replace all the low drywall that got wet.  They've needed to do remodel down there for YEARS and then this happens.  At least it's minor to what could've happened.  They have an orchestra pit on a huge lift and none of the water got down there.  Otherwise, it all looks great.

I don't know about a jump rope rhyme, but The Manhattan Transfer (among others) recorded Java Jive, which starts out that way. :D

Back from the first of our two final vocal sessions - we got great stuff and did eight songs, so seven left for tomorrow night.  This was one of the easiest final vocal sessions I've had and light years from Sandy's last two, which were fun but required a lot of work.  This time it was just occasional notes and direction.  Her voice is in great shape.
