Thanks to phone calls and interruptions, I only made it halfway through John Carter. Hope I have time this weekend to watch the rest.

the Vixter and I are back from GWTW.  She had never seen it before and she loved it

The sound was as good as the picture.

the thing  I love about these Fathom events are that the people who are there really want to be there and are attentive and appreciative audiences which make s the experience so  enjoyable

I didn't remember that the music director had so many vocal spots in this show.

He doesn't.  This musical director took several solos in the production he did, and that was part of the deal of this recording, although I limited it to only about three or four things - it was considerably more and I refused - he originally had the opening number.  Mr. Kander gave his permission to do the three or four little things he does.

The singers are all great, but they also ACT the songs. I love that.

Me, too...but it doesn't surprise me from a BK produced recording.

I'm going to see that tomorrow, too!  I haven't gotten a ticket, yet, but I don't think that there'll be any trouble getting one when I get to the theater.

I wondered about that.  I don't know anything about the actual show, but I was curious if that was a conceit of the original production.

I know that in Maltby and Shire's Closer Than Ever, the musical director for that show has songs.

DR Bway I guess now would not be a good time to tell you the story of the mouse running up my arm.

A friend from over the mountains in Thousand Oaks mentioned that she had a rattle snake in their office.  She wins -- too scary for me!  OY, but still can't imagine running up one's arm! :-\

DR Singdaw -- grown men on chairs!  sounds like a musical revue. LOL

DR George -- that's my fear, mice will come back under the desk and crawl up my pant leg.  I kept my feet elevated all day! :)
