My charming doctor was very unhappy that I wanted a second eye shield.  His comment was, "Well it didn't leave your bedroom."

How he knows that, I have no idea.

Did you explain you had a cat  and that means it could be anywhere

It’s weird being the same age as old people

One never knows what an eye shield's private life is once the lights are out. 8)

To answer Jeanne' question, yes the surgeon implanted a lens to replace the cataract.

DR TCB, are you feeling better and getting any sight in that eye?

Were you totally out for the surgery? I can't imagine fingers in my eye. That's why I've never been successful with contacts. Glasses for me.

Sorry, Dan, I missed the first question.  Most of the time I can see much better.  Everything looks more vivid, the edges sharper.  I don't know if that makes sense.  But sometimes it feels like I am using a dirty contact lens.  Just a little bit.  The doctor says it will improve over the next week or so.

Chas, I owe you a PM.  Sorry I got sidetracked by the surgery.  I will send you a note tomorrow.

DR TCB, I hope you heal really, really fast! I'm glad your sight is returning.

Thanks Dan, but I worry more about your recovery than mine.

I hope BK is feeling better.  I assume he went to the show, anyway.

My fingers are working  better  but I still have no strength in my right arm and the bone aches terribly from shoulder to elbow.  Any I turn my wrist  it hurts like the dickens

the weird thing is I never came out in a single bruise  which is odd as when I  simply bump up against something I normally bruise very easily

In the end I went to the show.  I'd been in bed for almost forty hours straight and I'd about had it.  I got through the show fine - after, I said I thought having food poisoning may have been preferable to seeing the show.  After, I went out with a few folks and I was weak that I decided to chance food, so I had a cup of soup and a sandwich.  So far it's okay, but do pray for Rosemary's Baby.  Notes to write.

On the way to dinner we were rear ended.  Sigh.

Are you both okay?

I think so thank you.  We were stopped at a light and the other car wasn't going too fast.  We didn't see it coming of course.

Yikes!!  Hopefully, you won't start to hurt in the days to come.
