Watching the first episode of A Place to Call Home. I don't need another addiction at this time. And I'm afraid this is going to be addicting.

Keith said to tell you it gets worse, meaning the obsession, not the show.

Yes, I think it will. I'm deep in episode two already. And I should be in bed.

I'll tell you - Shostakovich is a little too bombastic for my taste - I can deal with it from Mahler because of the melodic invention and feeling, but Shostakovich is very political and VERY Russian and it just gets wearying, especially with symphonies of that length.  So, I've decided to now listen to all the William Alwyn symphonies again.

It is a tragic event, but one local news station has had non-stop news coverage since 9:00.

It is probably the first time I have watched an entire newscast without a single mention of the presidential election this year.

Next Monday the temperature is supposed to dip into the low 30's.  Some people are talking snow, but the weather bureau hasn't said anything about that.

Ginny, sorry to read about your eye surgeries.  I am surprised that they are doing them so close together.  I think my surgeries were three or maybe four weeks apart.
