I don't think they ever close schools here due to weather.

In the two years we lived in Massachusetts it took a mega storm for them to close school.  When we moved away I was shocked to find school closed for less snow, and the children did not wear snow clothes to school.

Here they won't even let the kids go out to play unless they are wearing snowpants.  My nieces look like they are going to the arctic even on mild days.

I think I have to get Apple on the phone again tomorrow - almost had another freeze before it thankfully righted itself (thank goodness I hit "save" every five seconds when I'm writing), and then it did this weird thing that used to happen a few years ago, where I could not actually click anywhere without some weird window with options coming up.  I finally went to shut down and then it was fine before I did so.  This is not how a perfectly running machine works and this is way too new for this to be happening so often.

Listening to the expanded Jurassic Park soundtrack.  I'm not that fond of the film, but parts of the score are really wonderful.

It sounds daunting, DR Elmore.  I am in awe of anyone who can pull this off.  I love orchestration, but I couldn't put two notes together.

I could. And they'd both be wrong!

Jane, I thought of you tonight. One of the cocktails was a Black Manhattan: Russels Reserve 10-year Bourbon, Averna, Angosturra Bitters and the right kind of cherry.

There were some other lovelies, too. You'd have hated one of my favorites because of the Frangelico, but it was called a Grimsby's Coffee and had Forty Creek Barrel Whiskey, Grand Marnier, Frangelico and cold brew coffee in it. I also liked the Chai Barrel with Jack Daniels Single Barrel Whiskey, Chai tea-infused vermouth and Angosturra Bitters.

I've written twelve pages today - will shortly take a shower and perhaps go for one more to get a jump on the 'morrow.  Have been listening to Ravel.

I remember the kindergarten teacher putting on her snow clothes to go outside with the class.

I was going to keep everyone guessing about the ice sculpture, but I guess George answered the question for you.

They could have kept one whole head of lettuce, and still had too much salad.

It's 24°F right now.  The low (according to the app on my phone) is expected to be only 23°.
