Also, the entire Emmy broadcast was weird.  It looked like they were holding the awards in a shoebox.

That's not surprising. ::)

And then there was the apparently private Emmy party being held in London.

Well, darn...it's official:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we must postpone our production of The HEAD! that wouldn't DIE! 3D.
With the rise in covid numbers and the intimate nature of the performance space,  TAO has decided it is prudent to go into hibernation for a bit longer.The cast and crew have put a ton of work in, and the show is looking splendid. Each one has committed to mount this production as soon as possible. We are all looking forward to a March run of the show.
We would like to thank BOP for both their support and understanding with this decision and their support of this project.
Don't worry we'll be back. You can't keep a good head down.
Stay safe. We love you.

Sorry, George.

There was a rather large African-American man sitting at The Emmys that seemed to be wearing a white off-the-shoulder gown.

I guess they really limited the number of guests at the shoebox awards.  Stephen Colbert mentioned the other night that he wasn’t allowed to bring his wife.

Sorry, George.

Thanks.  It's surprising, but not really unexpected.

Interesting.  I'll have to watch for that. ;D

That's too bad.

How hard is it to put up a picture, and next to the picture, above the picture, or even below the picture; have the person’s name in white letters on a dark background?

Instead, the names were overlaid over the picture so parts or all of the name was impossible to read.

And the music was very nice, but don’t switch to the camera showing the musicians, when you are supposed to be showing the artist who died.
