No understudy's performance of "Guys and Dolls" for you then, eh, Ann????

Nope.  My work schedule wouldn't allow it, so Jed is making a solo trip.  It's really his group of past theater buddies he's going to see, anyway...so no real need for me to go :)

So, in 1947, a house cost $9,000.  30 years later, $28,000.  That's three times the price.  From 1976 to 2005 is about another 30 years, but the price of a house has gone up 25 times!!  Okay, maybe not the same house, but still!

Watched EMPIRE again tonight which has veered so far away from Roman history as we know it as to practically be historical fiction. And when we got to the orgy scene tonight, well, of course, there were plenty of heterosexual activities and our Octavius was taking part in a three way with twin sisters, and there were fleeting glances of girl on girl action, too. Alas, no males with males, however.

Chris Potter contract was not renewed for the 2nd season for his homophobic remarks he made about his same sex love scenes. It was decided the part would be rewritten out.

I had read this, too, although this was not the first time he had played a gay role.

Be that as it may, he's a good actor because there was no trace of revulsion in his performance of the love scenes with Michael.

And amazing that Hal Sparks, no stranger to his own crass and uncalled for ignorant remarks, kept his contract.

Enjoyed SUSPICION this afternoon. I hadn't watched the entire movie in many years. Joan Fontaine's Oscar must have been payback for losing for REBECCA the year before. I don't see anything extraordinary about her work in SUSPICION (especially since Bette Davis was nominated that year for THE LITTLE FOXES and did do extraordinary work, but I guess the part itself was far more flamboyant.)

Got around to SIX FEET UNDER, too. Things are definitely changin' around the various Fisher households.

Those of you who are MONK fans must remember the episode where Monk and Captain Stotllemeyer become roommates (when the Captain's wife tosses him out the house). One of the most hilarious episodes in the history of the show.

Another busy day has come to an end, so I'll head downstairs to dreamland.

Good night, all.

I'm back.  Had a lovely rehearsal, and then did the radio show with Donald, which will be up on Sunday.  You'll hear lots of cuts from the two albums, plus a couple of Jeeper's Creepers cuts as well.

Happy birthday, Cillaliz!

Sorry I'm late, but I was busy procrastinating pretending to study.

I've been researching train travel in North America. October 2006 is looking good.

Should I just say I was asleep on the couch or watching TV so I couldn't be bothered to write the notes?  That would be FEEBLE.
