My visit to my brother and his family was quite wonderful! They had plenty to snack on including some sinfully rich brownie "loaf" my sister-in-law made. I had a slice or two.. or three.. and some ice cream.. and some Girl Scout Cookies... and...

However, the best part of the evening was going up to my niece, Alyssa, giving her a big hug, and NOT having her scream and run away from me.

She was in quite a playful mood tonight. She's apparently discovered how to whisper - although I don't think she's grasped the concept completely. Yes, she was whispering things to me, but I'm still not sure what she was telling me and if they were actual words. She was fascinated with the light-up ring I brought for her, and she even thanked me for it. And kissed me too!
John Michael was his usual rambunctious self, and he filled me in on all the new things he learned at school. We did have a small disagreement when I wanted to watch "American Idol", and he wanted to keeping watching Toon Disney, but his father stepped in. It was his bedtime anyway, so... He was more upset about having to go to bed than having to stop watching TV.
Before he went up to bed, he gave me a hug and asked if I could send him something from New York City. Of course, he didn't really need to ask since I always bring him something back from New York.
"Goodnight, Uncle Jojo."
