What is it with Jesse Jackson these days?  First, Michael Jackson; now Terry Shiavo.  I know the Rev has been somewhat marginalized in the last few years, but is he that desperate for attention these days?

I'm still in shock from Michael Jackson's assertions that this current mess he's in is happening through bias against him as a black man.  I was really surprised since I thought the prejudice would come from the black community since Jackson's been looking like a white woman for years.

"Scenes From an Execution" - funnier than you might think?  Understatement there, DRCP.  Doesn't sound like much of a thigh-slapper to me!  LOL....I love it when a play surprises me!

I was not so lucky with FROZEN.

I'm on my way to pick up packages - hopefully there will be several, including Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People.

It's a slow news day around these parts, so I don't have much to say. But I am neither errant nor truant.

DRGinny, didn't you come to Duffs with Joan and Bill and many others after the concert at the Sorg?  I flew back to Ohio to see them!

No-o-o-o, DR elmore, you may remember that that concert was one week to the day after I'd given birth to DS Rob and I barely made it to the theater.  In fact, we arrived so late that they wanted us to sit in the balcony and DH Richard protested that I couldn't climb the stairs, so we got to sit in the front row.  I caught a feather from Joan's boa and have it stapled to my program!

Not to be confused with Marhumba:  Attack of the Flamenco Dancers.

I watched MEDIUM this afternoon, and I have to say for once, I was ahead of Allison in putting her dreams together to figure out the ghost scenario. The other storyline was more obvious and needed no figuring out.

I wasn't surprised about there being no cast album for the new LA CAGE. The show has not been a world beater at the box-office, and though not all of the music for the show was on the original album, there really didn't seem to be a good reason for another disc of this material.

Six count them six packages.  A Japanese DVD from the UK called Pitfall, Matango, the Batman and Robin serial, a little something from Mr. Tony Walton, a beautiful negative of a photo the of the beautiful Leslie Parrish, and a home grown DVD of Gary Cooper's final film, The Naked Edge.

I didn't get any packages today, and I was expecting my last DVD of hour long POIROT episodes. 12th in the series, and now all of them have been released on DVD.

Glad you mentioned the BATMAN & ROBIN serial. I had been meaning to order that and have been forgetting.

I have the B/R serial on VHS!  From years ago.  Is that the one with John Duncan as Robin?  And a 1949 Mercury batmobile?

I bought that VHS set for my friend's son years ago...he loved it, and so did I!

In fact he loved Batman and Robin so much he would dress up as them by wearing his underpants outside of his pants and using a towel as a cape...he insisted on going to the store dressed that way...and when he was refused, he simply put his regular clothing over top of his "Batman" outfit! He looked quite lumpy.

In what has to be one of the most shameless publicity stunts since David Merrick, the Weisslers have announced that Sweet Charity WILL open after all, and the opening WILL be performed by Christina Applegate.  Charlotte D'Amboise will play the first two weeks of previews.  The opening has been pushed back to the beginning of May.  Anyone who doesn't think that this was planned from the minute that Applegate injured herself, well, I have a lovely bridge you can buy.

They get great press (already happening), a miracle apparently takes place (Applegate going on and saving the day), and the critics get bamboozled by it all.

Here is what else I predict will occur prior to the opening:  All of the "improvements" will be gone and the show will be what it always was.  This has already been happening, but I predict that everything else that still hasn't been put back will be.  They've already put back half the opening scene - next to come will be the opening song.  They've already cut the new song that replaced I Love to Cry at Weddings.  It was replaced with I Love to Cry at Weddings - BRILLIANT!  And, I predict that The Rhythm of Life will soon have its original arrangement back.  What am I, Criswell all of a sudden?

Mark my words.
