PROFOUNDLY PROFOUND

Well, you've read the notes, you are feeling profoundly profound because of the profoundly profound nature of the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the profoundly profound cows come home.

As usual these days, it's the ATTACK OF THE WUSSBURGERS.

No more late-night denizens, I guess.

Welcome four GUESTS!  We're talkin' about quotable lines from favorite plays.

Well, actually, there's nobody here but us chickens and you GUESTS.

I suppose I shall toddle off to the bedroom environment.

I'm not really one for remembering lines from plays or movies. I don't really get much beyond "I'm melting" and "Fasten your seatbelts"

The Shakespeare quotes from Merchant and Richard III still are in my head somewhere and poetry from grade school (I think that's the USA term) is still lurking not too far from the surface.

Useful titles and lines from songs such as "Don't put your daughter on the stage Mrs Worthington" are more likely to escape from the dark recesses along with the oft appropriate "Sing Out Louise".

Most commonly used at the moment is "I am the only Gay in the village". That may be only used by local folk.
(A reference for DR George)

Oh my where to start?  Where to start?

I will get the ball rolling, I will start the Scuttlebutt.

"Our new one piece lace foundation garment.  Zips up the back, and no bones."  It always makes me laugh!

"When in the future you speak of this - and you will, be kind."

"And when you hear that whistle, your heart's gonna break.  'Cos you know you love me, too."

And Cherie's answer to Beau who insists on calling her Cherry:
"It ain't....well...it ain't dignified!"

I will be asking for some JOB vibes in a few days.

Good news about Bogie, DRJANE.

I am watching DIAMOND HEAD.  Yvette Mimieux was certainly lovely, but her acting seems mostly petulance.

Good news about the inclusion of "They Don't Give Medals" BK. Always loved the Dionne version and it's flipside "The Green Grass Starts to Grow". I'm looking forward to the CD.

Good morning, all!  I'm about to risk my life in the wilds of Rockefeller Center for a haircut, then the recording office.  I'm still working my way through thewilds of the Act One Finale sequence of BABES IN TOYLAND:  too few informative scripts and too few annotations on the original conductor's scores from 1903.

Favorite lines from plays:
"Wounded myself in the early part of my life by the envenomed tongue of slander, I confess I have since known no pleasure equal to the reducing others to the level of my own reputation." (THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL)

"Can you say 'Titus the tailor told ten tall tales to Titania the titmouse?" (A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM)

""Until I was fifteen I was more familar with African than my own body." (ENTERTAINING MR SLOANE)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOE!!!

"Our new one piece lace foundation garment.  Zips up the back, and no bones."  It always makes me laugh.

This line was always a favorite.  When a friend would have a party, he used to go around the room with a try of drinks or canapes and say that.  One of the best part was to to see the look on people's faces who had NO idea what he was talking about.

Outside of the classics like Hamlet's "Soliloquy,"  it's odd little lines like the ones Jack mentioned or the things like,
"I love you too, and isn't it a shame that's not enough to keep two people together."
and
"I may be a fool, but I'm not a damn fool."

Bruce,
What an interesting collection you picked for Mr. Haines.  I'll admit I'm not familiar with all the songs, but I look forward to it

It's a bit macabre, but

Good Morning!

I'm up!  I'm up!  And soon I shall Be Away running my few errands and drop-offs.

I had set my alarm for 7:30... Yeah, right.  I got out of bed a little after 9:00 after some very sound sleep.  I've just finished my cereal, and now...

I looked around my room this morning, and I really don't have that much remaining to pack up.  The only major "inconveniences" will be taking apart my shelves - which should be easy - and my bed - which will not be so easy.

I just need to keep reminding myself today that I actually have until Sunday to get all of my stuff out of here.  So, if I happen to hit a snag or just need to sit down for a while to take a breather, I shan't get upset or anxious.  Just go with the flow...  *Oh, and it looks like Steve will be taking tomorrow off - he has to work Sunday, so he's taking his "extra" day - so I may have some help with getting the final part of my move into storage.  :)  -If not, I'm pretty sure I can get it all done by myself.  Heck, I moved it all in here on my own, I can move it out all on my own.
