We're back from a fun, fun, fun afternoon seeing the Taylors (Andy and his lovely wife Alet) in The Producers. This was anything but an "off-kilter" group of performers. I think the reviewer for Dayton City Paper is just a little too full of his own importance. Our seats were excellent (much more comfortable than the balcony seat I had at the St. James last October). I was appalled, though, at the people who felt they had things S-O-O-O-O important afterward that they had to leave during the curtain call.
We then had a wonderful dinner at Caffe Anticoli. Here's what was eaten:
Mom: House salad with sun-dried tomato dressing, crab cakes
DH Richard: House salad with bleu cheese, veal saltimbocca, neapolitan gelato with chocolate & raspberry drizzles
Me: House salad with sun-dried tomato dressing, vegetable manicotti, raspberry gelato "enrobed" in Belgian chocolate (which I could not finish)
We shared a carafe of nice Liebfraumilch and Richard and I had coffee.
