Well working at a law firm, the litigation, attorneys,  particularly the criminal defense attorneys get all excited about this stuff.. I never followed the trial but was interested in the verdict.. and it was as I predicted... alas no sparkling prize for the one thing I can get right

Don't get me wrong, MattH, I think he is very talented, but after his first few hit songs I just lost interest...overexposure...I guess that is why I am such a big fan of one hit wonders.

We watched "Zorba the Greek" last night.  Wonderful film.
Yeas ago I read that it had been remade and shelved!
I think it was the musical with John Travolta!

I'd like to hear some DR suggestions as to a suitable cast these days!

I'm finally back and cannot believe it's almost five o'clock.  I shall spend the next hour writing, as I've been on the go since this morning.

I was having lunch with Tammy at Dalt's in Burbank.  There was a bar-full of people watching.  We believe they were all "plants" because the minute it was done NBC had cameras asking ONLY people at the bar what they thought.  The restaurant was also full but they talked to no one.  I was hoping they'd come up to our table so I could tell them to buzz off, but they didn't.

Whatever one may feel about the verdict, the scene outside that courtroom, with the screaming and the cheering was nauseating and shameful and if that doesn't tell you what's wrong with this country and the times we live in, nothing will.  It's not just the circus atmosphere, it's like these people are being entertained by this.

I have to say as a criminal defense lawyer, I am happy with the verdicts, it really was a reasonable doubt case, but I am even more happy that the pundits were so wrong. Dan Abrams doing a piece on the cell he would occupy was enough to make me gag. At least the jury ignored them. I think the cable news pundits are more disgusting than the fans, but it is a close call

For some reason, I was unable to access the site for a while.  We also had a nice family dinner, cooked by the mom (which is quite rare these days) - Copper River salmon, oven roasted 5-herb new potatoes and carrots.  Then I donned my Mamma Mia apron and cleaned up the kitchen.

Re the bar at Duff's, I'm not surprised they got the coverage over the restaurant crowd.  For one thing, it was obvious that they were watching the results, because the televisions were right there.  Secondly, their tongues were more likely to be loose, since alcohol can do that.  Third, who wants to get someone's opinion while they're masticating?  Gross.  (Not that our BK ever talks with his mouth full, but others have been known to do it.  Eeeewww.)

Yes, the news and the media are worse than the fans.  They are, in fact, completely reprehensible.

Der Brucer has finally changed the channel from the news opinion nets.  I was begging for him to put on anything else, even Emeril.

It's actually part of a trilogy, but the other two weren't as much fun to me as Milagro and I don't think they were ever made into films

Good Evening!

Well, the storms finally came through...  About four really hard downpours about 15 minutes apart.  Some lightning and thunder too.

I ended up heading to Baja Fresh for dinner.  It was OK - heck, it was Baja Fresh.  Then I headed next door to Safeway where it seemed like almost of the ice cream freezer case aisle was on sale!  So...  I stocked up on some Edy's, and I picked up a box Good Humor Strawberry Shortcakes and Toasted Almonsd bars.  -The Chocolate Eclairs were sold out.  ;)
