A co-worker brought in something called a banana creme tartalline....it's very rich and covered with chocolate curls.

I can't do chocolate AND bananas....not in a bite.

Now to choose selections for tomorrow's reading.  I've just found out at least three people who said they'd be there will not be there.  Love when that happens, but these things cannot be helped.  Hopefully there will be SOMEONE there.

I forgot who asked, but THRESHOLD will be on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on CBS.

That was me.  Thanks for the info.  Do you know if it was it on this past Tuesday (which I would have missed)?  Or is this next Tuesday the first time that "Theshold" will be on a Tuesday?

No, you didn't miss it. CBS had the CMA awards last Tuesday.

This week's broadcast will be the first in this time slot.

Off to get some things done before I head out to the theater tonight. I'll be back on much later than usual tonight, but I should be back with a report on VISITING MR. GREEN.

It's almost 2:30 p.m., and the postal delivery person has not come....again.  Our normal delivery time is noon, but we haven't had any normal mail delivery since last week.

Several of my co-workers are expecting things that should have already arrived, and they keep pestering me about why the mail hasn't arrived.

I don't know why they think I could answer questions about the USPS since almost all my parcels arrive via UPS and Priority Mail.

I did get a priority mail parcel today.  It was total surprise since I couldn't recall having ordered anything from the outfit whose name is on the box.

Once opened, though, I totally remembered ordering these glass palm tree ornaments a couple of months ago (or was it only two weeks ago??).

Anyway...it was a surprise!

OK...so I've been looking all over for these videos and they're out of print. Not to be found.

Does ANYONE have the "Making of..." videos of LES MISERABLES and MISS SAIGON that were released on VHS in the early 90s? I had them back in college and some nitwit borrowed them and never returned them...

email me jason. . . ;)

The VARIETY review of THE WOMAN IN WHITE was mixed-to-negative. Michael Ball got the best notice of the principals. The music was pretty much dismissed and the projections were found to be at odds with the Victorian time period.

I think I'll probably be giving this one a pass if it's still running next summer.

Hi Guys,

Sorry to have been E & T.  I spent all of last night in the hospital emergency room and didn’t get home until six o’clock this morning.

I’m alright now but I was in horrible pain all of yesterday.  I was to stubborn to go home from work and go to the doctor.  At about 7:30 PM it got to the unbearable point so I called the “Ask A Nurse” and she wanted me to call 911 right away.

Well, I wasn’t going to that either (stubborn again—I didn’t want the drama of an ambulance coming to the house and all the neighbors staring , etc and I didn’t want to call someone to come get me because I hate to bother people.  I knew I would be there for hours ) so I managed to drive myself to the hospital emergency room.  Where I sat for hours before getting any kind of help.

I won’t bore you with details but I found out this is something that will be happening on a fairly regular basis (I’ve been having these attacks for years so what else is new?) and will just have to deal with it as best I can.   Here, have some drugs.  If it happens again, feel free to come back and see us.  One hundred dollars, please.

I slept most of today away after being awake since 4:30 AM yesterday so for one of the few times in my life I was up for over 24 hours.  Imagine that.   ;)

I’m in some pain right now but at least I have the drugs to take care of it.  They knock me out so I if I take one, I’ll be going back to bed again.

Again, I’m fine.  Situation normal.

Now let me go back and read posts from yesterday and try to get caught back up.   :)

Well I went to the the theater and got the tickets for Good Night and Good Luck early tonight. It isn't usually necessary, but it's starting right between 2 Harry Potter showings, so I figure the lines may be long.
