I also seem to remember ads for A PORNUS LINE back in the mid-1970's, although I didn't see that one.

Looking forward to the mens 1500 speed skate tomorrow. The USA male speedskaters seem to get along about as well as the Italian Ice Dancers and there are 4 of them in the 1500

My dad and another guy used to do a Sven and Ole routine. My dad played a ukelele and sang "I VANT TO GO VERE THE LUTEFISK GO" and they told the Sven and Ole and Ole and Lena jokes

Neat... I have heard that song before. There was a local comedian that use dto sing that...

Some of my Ole and Lena jokes are not fit for the boards... Some males here would be a tad offended...

Not to be a pain in the neck CPA/tax attorney, but strictly speaking, it really seems to have been the position of the IRS that it's the responsibility of the person filing a Schedule C to keep track of their income throughout the year. It's supposed to be income from your business as a "self-employed" person, and it's supposedly the notion that you're running it like a business that allows someone the deductions he or she might take. The IRS actually has, in the case of some of our clients whose returns were being audited for other reasons, asked for bank statements of people with Schedule C's rather than just accepting the total of that person's 1099's, so if someone is self-employed, you probably need to be able to account for just about every deposit you make to your bank accounts.

"Holy jumpin' Jehosepats! Lena, vat are you doing sittin' there in your all-together like that in the middle of the day?"

And Lena says, "It's because I don't have anythin' nice to vear. All my dresses are rags."

And Ole says, "Vat do you mean you have nothin' nice to vear? Look here in your closet here--here's a nice yellow dress, here's a nice blue dress with little flowers, here's our neighbor Sven, here's your nice Sunday dress..."

I thought STRAIGHT JACKET was a noble effort, but it pretty much missed the mark for me though I am a big fan of Matt Letscher. I wouldn't mind watching it again to give it another chance.

DR JRand, I think with those two extra numbers on the front of the GOLDEN BOY numbers, you have the original reissue. I bought a later reissue with different numbers.

The best way to tell is to simply play "Night Song" and see if Sammy's voice is hoarse or smooth. Do you have a working turntable?

BTW, my GOLDEN BOY later reissue LP has Sammy Davis' face (done in a drawing rather than a photo) on the front cover rather than the original GOLDEN BOY logo with the deawing of Joe and Lorna hugging.

Got the last DVD dubbed, and the package is now ready for mailing tomorrow.

I'm using a new brand of DVDs, and the first one I tried shut down my machine for a couple of minutes after it had been recording for a minute or two. Had to start all over again with a new blank, but it seemed to work perfectly.

I would say that about most of the skaters tonight. Exciting skating, choreography and music choices. Much better costumes, too!

I was on the edge of my seat for about 75% of '24' tonight, and the other 25%, I was just squirming out of anxiety. The show has generated the most amazing consistency of tension this season that I can ever remember.
