This is interesting.  When I first read Vixmom’s post the quote was in a tiny little box & I could hardly read the print.  After I posted the box grew & the print tripled in size.

That's because I went back and resized it!

Speaking of re-sizing...if anyone responds to the post with the VistaVision painting, this page is going to be ugly.

It is very easy to edit people's posts and indeed not include their posted pictures in replies.

It's also fun the take parts of posts "out of context".

Must we have so many photographs and long posts repeated?

To reduce the length of the original post I usually delete all but the portion of the quote I’m referring to.

Newsflash - I'm still sleepy.

After posting about only seeing the first episode of LOST because my friend was on it, I got curious to see if she was on again. I looked up some sites - and quite a few said she was the best actor (except Quin? Quil?) on the show. She played Rose. Do the Lost fans know that character?

Guess I need to head on downstairs now to finish up the chores. I did get the yard mowed, and it hasn't started raining yet. No sign of it really. Maybe it's going to sweep in tonight.

Several hundred barrels of an unknown substance were just discovered in an abandoned building in Indianapolis.

Sounds like the beginning of a sci fi movie to me.

I bet if the homeless people go in that warehouse and get in those barrels and that if things are the way they are in the movies well then I bet this is what will be on the front page of the Indy papers tomorrow:

At 60 years of age I certainly suffer from the VAGUERIES. Fortunately I now forget to worry about them. What was I saying?

May 24 used to be Bonfire Day here - in honour of DP Colin's birthday.

Or possibly what was "Empire Day"

I wonder if those barrels that were mentioned  by DR JRand are filled with laughs.  The world could use them.

Yes, Rose.  Married to Bernard.

Rose (L. Scott Caldwell) is a recurring character...in the first season, she was stubborn in her belief that Bernard, who had been in the rear of the plane when it broke off in flight, was still alive.

Turns out she was correct.  And she and Bernard were reunited early this season when folks from the tail section reuinted with folks from the nose section.

Both Rose and Bernard figured prominently in an episode a couple of weeks ago.

There was that kid who, after a late night kegger at the lake (and after making out with the Sherriff's daughter), saw the light in the water and was pulled in by one of the creatures.  The next morning he was obviously a hybrid.  I think he went on to hook up with that bad girl hybrid.

I remember this guy, and it's not the scenario that I remember with Jesse.

Last night, DR George wrote:

" I quite clearly remember the son, Jesse, becoming a hybrid.  Does anyone else remember this plot point??  If I'm remembering it correctly, how come he doesn't know that he's one and why isn't the show treating his character as one?  OR am I totally remembering some other incident or something else incorrectly.  Help!"

I don't believe Jesse has ever been converted into a hybrid. The bearded guy fell in the water and the aliens began "to hook into him," but he was pulled from the water before they could transform him. And Jesse's stepsister went into the water deliberately to become a hybrid but because she wasn't a perfect physical speciman, she was rejected by them.

If I'm incorrect about this, I'm sure someone will give you more accurate information.

Thanks.  Hmm...I don't remember a bearded man, but I remember a scene with Jesse walking around the beach naked, not knowing what happened to him.  I don't remember an attempt at hybridization not working on him, though.

SPOILER Potential!

The son, Jesse, is not a hybrid.  His uncle, Dave, who has wild hair and a beard, is one who went in the water and had brief contact with a "creature."  In a later episode, his "double" -- deformed and pitiable -- was a key feature, and died...but Dave (brother-in-law of Eddie Cibrian who plays Russell -- married to Dave's sister, Larkin) is completely human.

Jesse has never had an alien encounter in the water.

One boy, however...Derek, a friend of Kira (human), daughter of the Sheriff, Tom (who is a hybrid)...was at a party in the second or third episode.  He was drunk and rambunctious.  He went into the water.  He was later found naked on the beach...and had become a hybrid.

Derek was later sent by the Sheriff to a training camp.  He escaped with a dangerous female hybrid named Christina.  They mated, she became pregnant and they were both apprehended the Sheriff and returned to the camp Tom set up for hybrids on a small island.  Both were shot/killed about three weeks back by a man named Zura who has betrayed the Sheriff and is planning to wipe out humans in the town of Homestead.

Where did everybody go?

It was a crowded site for a while...and now just a few lurkers.

Well, maybe some people were upset that this photo was not of a naked man in bed!

I bow to the majority opinion!  And I know that my memory is not always reliable, so I'll believe this quite emphatically presented information. ;D
