What is the title of the Brain's big song?
Ah! the Michel LeGrand song from the movie about the Chicgao Baers' (Brain Poccilo).

I hope someone understands that!!

Lock 'em up! Put 'em away
In the Jar!
Time to start getting the nets out!
Lock 'em up!
Into the cage!
Quietly: no one must know.
Cart 'em of into the bin,
Turn the key.
Quick before anyone gets out!
Turn the key, throw it away,
There we are. Forty-eight to go!

They dumped him, apparently. He didn't want to write reviews anymore. Don't know where he'll end up.

Good morning DearReaderLaura.  Four hours sleep? or less?

Sorry, DR Tomovoz. I guess I didn't refresh and see your greeting. Yes, four hours or less. I sleep a couple hours at a time any more.

I'm sorry I had to miss the reading last night; if it had been today also, I'd be driving! Dust storms are very scary, and when you know it will be lasting all day, it is not wise to go out in it.

This morning DR Sandra and I went birdwatching, and we saw many baby mallards, baby stilts, baby avocets, and goslings. Then I did some yardwork at the church. And every time I work on the minutes from the meetings last weekend, I nod off.

And that has been my day so far.

Nutter Butters are by far my favorite store-bought cookie. I have absolutely no self control with them.

Second up is Chewy CHips Ahoy cookies. Only I make my own variation by smearing peanut butter on one and attached another to it to make a cookie sandwich.

Because I had no one to play host to this afternoon, I was able to get everything watched that was recorded last night.

First up was two episodes of OLD CHRISTINE. Both made me laugh though the soccer moms that are recurring cast members on the show really make me uncomfortable. Their viciousness masked by smiles is such a turn-off that they aren't funny to me and actually ruin scenes that they're a part of.

Next was the exciting CSI: MIAMI season finale. We found out who the mole was after several red herrings led us in wrong directions, and there was also the matter of $12,000 missing from the evidence bag that had us wondering who might have had sticky fingers. That revelation was a big surprise.

ALIAS, well, mercifully it's over, but I wonder if the actors are a little embarrassed by the outrageousness of the last two hours (and several episodes before). All reason and logic were cast out like baby's bath water in the finale. I found it a long two hours (even skipping commercials on the DVR).

I still had time left over to watch 30 minutes of THE BALLAD OF JOSIE.

First, I had no memory of its being produced in the widescreen process Techniscope. So we got to see the credits in wonderful widescreen, and then, the image went full frame, must to my displeasure. Ordinarily, I'd have just erased it, but since I did want to see this after so many years, I continued to watch. It's pretty mundane with lots of arguing about women's rights and women's abilities. Peter Graves does make a good leading man for Doris.

Ack!  Ack-Ack!  Ack!

Won't know for 4 hours more, plus a few odd minutes.

I've been modifying my bids in dribs and drabs...adding more here and taking away a little more there....but very little.

I'm thinking my bids might be a touch higher now.

About the sweet corn. I'm not sure where this came from. It was fresh, probably Missouri
I'll have to check at work where the corn is coming from right now.  We've been selling a lot of it over the last couple of weeks, and I know it isn't local from around here.  My guess is (!!!) Mexico.  Yup, the stuff could be imported.  But I'll ask.
