I forgot to ask SWW how his and Der B's faces were healing....

Well hopefully they will come back and tell us.
Der B is healing easily.  I've an appointment to have my stitches removed on Thursday (the second half of my day off will involve the grandlads), so everything is going according to schedule there.  And the bouts of depression the wound wound up are winding down, so all in all all is well.

My dad's advice has been to keep a stiff upper lip.

Can I be a restaurant critic too?

please?
I know you're joking here, just a bit, but have you ever read Dining Out, by Andrew Dornenberg and Karen Page?  It is all about restaurant criticism, how it effects the food industry and the people involved.  It's one of the few books about criticism in any field; fortunately, it's a very good one.

Yes, I've had MAKING LOVE on DVD for quite a while, and I didn't get it the week it was released. It was a week or so later, I think where I stumbled on someone else on another forum writing about it.

I have AN EARLY FROST on laserdisc.

"Making Love" has been out since February 7th.
Nonsense.  Making love will always be "in".  Except in cases where the couple is under their table at a restaurant.  Especially when the table is at the local IHOP.  Then it's just tacky.

Hi all!  I had to read through the posts very quickly because we had a bus malfuntion and had to switch buses at the station.  Since I am getting off at the church again my ride time will be less as well.

I'm soooo happy that worked!   Yes, that was some video I shot with my new Casio camera and uploaded last night to photo bucket.   I won't be able to leave them up for long because you only get a certain amount of space for free.

I will try to put them up from time to time when I catch something interesting.

Yikes!  My church stop is coming up.  Gotta run--

Congraduations to TPUNK!!!  You GO girl!!

Off to do afternoon chores and then some DVD watching. Only HOUSE is of interest to me tonight on TV.

No, now that Elliott is gone, I have no interest in AMERICAN IDOL.

Tonight, I'm taping two basketball games for my niece.  The second one, The Seattle Storm playing the Houston Comets in Seattle, will be attended by my niece, Hilary and myself!  She went to Sunday's first game of the season and Lauren Jackson (one of their star players) tossed a t-shirt to her and Hilary's left arm was on TV!  Since the seats are close to an aisle, I may get to be on TV for a second or three!  I'm wearing a red plaid shirt, so watch!  The Storm game is on ESPN2, starting at 8:00 p.m. PDT, or maybe a little later, if the first game goes long (that starts at 6:00 p.m. PDT).  It should be a lot of fun.  The Storm won the game on Sunday, 90-67!

For those who will watch "Idol" tonight, Taylor will sing two songs he's sung before:  "Levon" and "Living for the City"

Katherine is singing the only two songs she has sung in the past two months that all the judges loved:

"Black Horse and Cherry Tree" -- the one she did on her knees; and

"Over the Rainbow." -- the one she did sitting/reclining on the stage.

Each will sing a new song, as well (different song for each).  Presumably, Katherine will stand for hers.

Expect the same cavorting, squatting, thigh-compressing (gonad-crushing) moves from Taylor.

Mazel tov!

They can't even hold out until the Tony Awards?  I know it only got two nominations, but you never know. :(

Ack!  Ack-Ack!  Ack!

Won't know for 4 hours more, plus a few odd minutes.

I've been modifying my bids in dribs and drabs...adding more here and taking away a little more there....but very little.

I'm thinking my bids might be a touch higher now.

Ron, I have the utmost confidence you will win...

Sorry to hear about the closing of the show. We are so pleased and proud that at least  DR Jose made it to Broadway AND a Cast Recording.  Let's hope this is only the beginning.

I have just spoken with Mr Tom C Birkeland.  He has some pain but is reasonably comfortable. He hopes to eat food today - he certainly could not manage broth yesterday. (Surprise).

He says hello to all and thanks you for your vibes etc.
