I will be Music Directing a benefit concert reading of Marcy Heisler's and Zina Goldrich's
Dear Edwina for the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater here in New York City. Yes, it is a children's show, and it's being presented by a company named "Rattlestick"... Rattlestick is dedicated to nurturing and producing the works of new and upcoming playwrights, and they are looking to expand their audience base by presenting some more family-friendly fare - thus, the presentation of
Dear Edwina.
We're just running for three performances about two weeks from now. I'll be working with a wonderful cast and production team. And, needless to say, it's just nice to be working on a show again.

Dear Edwina, Jr. has been around for a couple of years, but it's never been produced in NYC even though Zina and Marcy - or Goldrich and Heisler, if you prefer - have had a pretty good record on the cabaret front. They wrote one of Kristin Chenoweth's signature songs, "Taylor, the Latte Boy".
