Her recording "Walking Back To Happiness" appeared on Billboard's "Hot 100" pop music chart for one week at #100 (last place), 4 December 1961. She never appeared again on any of Billboard's USA music charts, a unique achievement for a solo artist.

What's up with that?

And, how shall we say, the evening is young, with more than four hours to go before the balls drop.

SPRING AWAKENING SPOILER

There's a scene where a group of men, this is a family site so let's just say they spill their seed, on a coffin in a grave.

I figure that's a perfect spot for a coffin fit.

Last week, I decided I owed myself a present; so, I decided to buy a new DVD to watch over the holidays.  I looked through the sale racks at the store and I came across a copy of the new Poseidon Adventure.  And it was only $7.99

The surprise was on me!  It wasn't the new Poseidon, or even the old Poseidon; but last year's television miniseries from the Hallmark Network, instead.

Actually, I ended up enjoying it very much.  There are variations on all the original characters... Sylvia Syms for Shelley Winters, Adam Baldwin for Ermest Borgnine.....   There was also, the same bad acting like the original; plus some international terrorists who help cause the ship to capsize.  But it was fun.  I really enjoyed it.

Milla is back in Manhattan from her New Year's Eve perfromance with the Westfield Symphony, for which I believe Larry recommended her.  She thought the performance went fabulously.

Jrand - At least off-Broadway, SPRING AWAKENING was quite a remarkable show until the last 20 minutes, when it seemed to go awry.

(What's disturbing is that its supporters seem to be treating it like a contest between it and the other serious-themed musicals on Broadway)

I did indeed!  I'm happy it went well, and I'm certain she was a hit with the audience.  I'm also bummed I managed to miss her night at Danny's this week.

Would that you had been with us at Danny's Friday night, Larry.  I (and HHW) would have been spared my etiquette mishap.  :)
