Wow!  I hope you don't mind but I had to download that photo--that was one of the nicest I've seen of you two.

Did anyone ask, "Hoosier little whosits?"

not that I heard, anyway.

Thank you all for the info on the stiches.  I will let my vet know a thing or two if she does attempt to charge me--but I'm sure she will find something to charge me for.  If only the office visit.  ::)

I started my diet yesterday and managed to drop a whole pound overnight.  It's a start-- :)

I had my hair cut again.  It's very, very, very short.  I shall have to have someone snap a picture to show you.

Then it should be a return office visit charge, not a full charge.

Good diet vibes! :)

I meant to tell you that I also cleaned my closet out and got rid of a lot of old clothes, etc.

Some where the dresses I had bought for my first NY trip.  I have to laugh now when I think about how scared I was that they wouldn't be good enough for the theaters and most especially for that other group I was going to meet.

I remember how carefully I dressed that night and how I had packed seashells to give to everyone there--even the people I didn't get along with.  They were in the trash of my hotel room.

How silly.

Gotta run--we're at my stop.

This morning I went for a walk. But sadly, the place where I enjoyed walking past the farm fields were much changed this time. The farms were sold and stucco strip malls or stucco houses were under construction. Very sad.

Reading Rodzinski's leadsing men interviews plus that Brian D'Arcy James link from earlier has made me long for another trip to New York!!!

DR Danise, your kindness and ingenuousness are to be treasured and honored.  We can always use some of it in this jaded town.

Right now, I'm listening to the Dreamgirls live concert recording with Lillias White and Audra McDonald...and everyone else!  It's much better than the 2-CD "special edition" movie soundtrack.  That's not a bad recording (and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie) but the live recording with all the dialogue is just a better version of the score.

I've just never warmed to that recording.  Lillias White may be superb in performance, but her severely restricted vocals on Effie's songs put me right OFF the recording.

I expect to win the lottery on the strength of this recommendation, JRand.

Pray I'm not disappointed!

DR TomovOz:  Spare yourself the disappointment.  If you go into "DreamGirls" expecting to be displeased with it, you WILL be displeased with it.

It's absolutely fabulous, but....

No, Danise (and Tom and George), I don't mind at all that you downloaded the picture. That's very nice of you to do so/say so  :)

Regarding Naked Boys, I think they actually moved downtown to the New World Stages. After the stint at Actor's Playhouse in the Village, IIRC (if I recall correctly in Internet Lingo) they moved a few places around town and were at the now defunct 91 Street Playhouse on the Upper East Side after Menopause, The Musical closed before they moved back down to New World (formerly Dodger Stages). I may be recalling this all incorrectly but I've been back at work for two days after being off for a month. Yesterday I forgot a password that I use for 11 months out of the year. It only took one month away from work for it to flush out of my mind. Who knows what else is gone ;)

Maybe we need a Ben and Ant calendar!

That would certainly be possible.  They could do "Ben and Ant's World Tour"....with photos of themselves in all sorts of fabulous places during their trips.

Thoroughly enjoyed DR Rodzinski's interviews on Playbill.com, and with two of my favorite theater hunks.

Terrific job!

I can understand that...don't agree, though...horseracing. ;)

Anyway, I like it because it's the whole show with all the dialogue and not just the songs and the underscoring.  The 2-CD soundtrack is just so...sedate.  To me, there is no real energy except in a few of the songs.

Hmmmm....yes, it was the month away.  That's what did it!

;D

I was gone two weeks one year and could not remember the code to get into my office the night I got back.

This wasn't terribly long ago, either.

It's HELL getting older.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it in "toto" yet.  Still, the movie was so quickly paced...

Speaking of Calendars, I think BK ought to consider a "Kritzerland" calendar one year.

Each month would feature a photo of some local spot that figures prominently in the trilogy.
