Wisconsin Man Sentenced to Probation for Having Sex With Dead Deer
Wednesday, March 21, 2007

SUPERIOR, Wis.  —
A 20-year-old Superior man received probation after he was convicted of having sexual contact with a dead deer.

Hathaway's probation will be served at the same time as a nine-month jail sentence he received in February for violating his extended supervision.

He was found guilty in April 2005 of felony mistreatment of an animal after he killed a horse with the intention of having sex with it.

"The type of behavior is disturbing," Judge Michael Lucci said. "It's disturbing to the public. It's disturbing to the court."

I suspect it's disturbing to the animals, as well!

Likewise on the pat on the back from Kander (not to mention the business card deal with St. Louis!)

...And I just found out from the casting director, that Mr. St. Louis is about to start work on a new musical, so....

Wrote some more - so, I'm at five and a half pages for the day - I'll probably finish the other half-page when I return, so that will be a nice six page day.  I'd say I'm now around 110 pages away from being finished, having completed 151 manuscript pages.

If I'm not too tired this evening upon my return, I think I'll try to watch Infernal Affairs, the Hong Kong film that was the basis for The Departed.  I hear it's much better than The Departed (certainly it's about forty-five minutes shorter), and then there are two sequels - well, Infernal Affairs II is a prequel, and Infernal Affairs III is a sequel.

Excellent wishes vibes and everything appropriate for Ant. and  Cason.  Congratulations to  Jose. (and thank you for sharing your joy).

...And it's also been interesting to read that even though The Beatles were featured in the intro for the show last night, the contestants had no access to the Beatles' catalog since the rights are still tied up due to Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney - and his ongoing divorce proceedings.

I understand that next week, Heather Mills will be dancing to half a Beatles song - apparently, her cut.

I'm seeing Barber of Seville tonight at the Met, and my eyes are already glazing over just reading the synopsis.  :)  Just kidding, looking forward to it, but the synopsis makes the plot seem awfully silly.

Addendum to both Audacity and Audio Record Wizard. You are not limited to size of file, you're only limited by the size of your hard drive.

I have always been limited by the size of my hard drive.

What if they were personally delivered by Brent Barrett?

You may have fantasies about Mr Barrett.  I don't.  I know him too well.

DR FJL, it is a silly plot, and a glorious piece of music.  I think you'll have a good time.

Good Afternoon!

I can die a happy Flapapino now...

I just finished playing an emergency set of auditions for our show.  We saw six people, and they all brought in some fun and challenging music to play: "Rain" (Once On This Island), "Coalhouse's Soliloquy" (Ragtime), "Push Da' Button" (Jamaica), etc., etc...

After we were done, John Kander came up to me, took both my hands in his, and said, "Good job!".

That sooooo totally made my day!  Well, year...  Heck, career.  *Now I just need to figure out to put that on my resume.  ;)

:D

Thank goodness it wasn't Mr. Ebb.

I'm at work ordering our monthly High Demand List (up until this year, it was done every other month).  Our selectors receive a list of EVERY title in the library computer system that has a hold (request) and decide which items will be reordered.  They order more books if the holds-to-copies ratio is six-to-one or greater and A/V items are ordered at a ten-to-one ratio.  They can't, of course, order every title, but it still can take several days to do the whole thing.

There seems to be a huge difference in roundtrip prices for trips from Portland to NY...if I go in early June it is really quite cheap...but if I go in late June (as originally planned) it is twice as much...and if I go in July it is waaaaaaaaaaay expensive!

What happens in late June and July in NY that makes travel so expensive at that time...is there some type of mega NY type celebration that I don't know about?

The fares are higher in later June, because the whole country heard that you were going to be in New York.

Last night MusciGuy posted:Well, its seems that he already had, before the show. On stage we were exposed to a horrible misscarriage!

Well, if it's any consolation, Sanjaya not only made little children cry, he left Simon virtually speechless.

IMHO Jordin put on the best performance, with Melinda second.

I wholeheartedly concur with your astute assessment!!!

And would you support a film re-make of A Chorus Line by a "director obviously (who) knew what he was doing".

der Brucer

No one HERE would ever agree on who that director should be.
