OH!!

DR MusicGuy - Your "generosity" was a hit at rehearsal yesterday!  I hope you don't mind me sharing.  And if you do, you can just reprimand me later.  ;)

Thank you, again.

DR Musicguy and DR Ginny, when were you both planning on being in NY? I am not going to be there when I originally thought I would be...and now may (hopefully) try for earlier in June when flights are a bit more affordable.

Dear DR M(dashing & hunky)Barnum.....

Unfortunately, my dates to go to NYC have to remain the week starting on Monday June 25th.  It dovetails right after an event I have to be at in Chicago.

Are you sure you can't come then??  Dinner at Joe Allen, treats at Serendipity, the sparkling Elmore, the saucy Jose, the suave and distinguished Fred & Skip,........

On my budget I just can't come that weekend...if I go earlier the plane ticket is only $234. If I go later the price doubles!

My orignal plan was to attend Monster Bash in Pittsburgh and then stop off in NY...but then the price triples not including hotel accommodations...I really need to watch my spending so I am cancelling my trip to Pittsburgh altogether.

However, I am still going to be in LA April 24 through the 29th...and seems to me we have a dinner date on one of those dates...do we not? And of course it would be quite fun to have you along on my trip to Little Tokyo and Bronson Canyon if you are free and willing.

If any DRs have ever thought they might like to experience the joys of Bollywood...Erosentertainment is having a "Spring Special" of select DVDs on sale for just 99 cents! Not a bad selection of titles...from 1950s through 2000s, with most being from the 1980s and 90s.

Check it out!

If anyone's interested, here's the info on the Johann Strauss Edition.  I want them al!  And they could be very tasteful Christmas gifts for certain individuals who deserve them like, well, me, for instance!

Good Afternoon!

Well, I got the call around 2:00 that I did not have to be at rehearsal this afternoon, so... Since I was out and about running errands anyway, it was no biggie.  I just got back on the train and headed uptown.

-And a little breather before dinner and the theatre isn't bad either.

DR Ben, I'm not sure if it's the same thing or not, but my sister has been walking her dog using something called a "Gentle Leader", which is a heavy canvas strap that goes on like a muzzle.

This dog is wearing a head halter called a Gentle Leader. It is not a muzzle! It lets you guide your dog easily without putting pressure on her neck or throat. Dogs wearing Gentle Leaders can still bark, eat, drink, or do anything else they normally do.

DR MBarnum - You might want to check into some of the flight/hotel/vacation packages that some of the airlines are offering.  And I know there are some travel groups that are offering some pretty "Gay Pride" week deals too.

Friday morning greetings!  Grantseeking Basics was a smash last night with 29 people in attendance.  Today I have a midday meeting at Wright State University, after which I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off - YAY!

I think I have reading  these posts too long, Ginny.  I read the first two sentences of your post, and I just assumed that Grantseeking Basics was the name of a new musical.

Hi DR Jose (you jungle siren!)...... I missed it in the earlier posts this week, but which day did your surprise package finally get to you?  And, do you have a favorite flavor out of what you have tried so far??

I was just wondering how long UPS took to get there.

Hugs..... (and smacks!)

DR Musicguy and DR Ginny, when were you both planning on being in NY?...

DR MBarnum - DH Richard and I have been planning to head to NYC from Washington, DC, on Thursday, June 28, and stay until Monday, July 2.  That plan may have to be altered depending on

1) what Richard learns from the shoulder doctor he's seeing on Monday (vibes for no surgery, please!) and

2) whether or not my request to have the jury duty (for which I received the summons today) rescheduled does not interfere with those plans.  The 2 weeks in May for which they now have me scheduled conflict with major work commitments, so I'm going to ask for a time period in July or August.
