It's an old-fashioned chop house.  It's on Hollywood Boulevard between Highland and Cahuenga, right next door to what used to be the Vogue Theater.

Mmmmmm...chop house.

I live and work near La Cienega & Wilshire, so that's relatively close by. Keep me posted on meeting time!

HA! Ricardo. :)Yeah, this post did not observe that particular rule. But I guess there's no way to completely avoid spoilers.

Good lord...I've wasted my life!

It could very well have been I, and, if so, I'm sorry. I get very enthusiastic about the shows I watch and often go blundering right in commenting on them. Many folks here just skip my late night postings because they know I'm prone to spill too much.

Wasted your life? Hardly. I'd say you've enriched it.

The Tunick orchestrations were done several years ago for the Signature Theatre production - they are not a patch on the buttcheeks of Hershey Kay's originals.

I prefer the 1958 cast to the OBC because I like Jacquelyn McKeever and Siddney Chaplin better than Edie Adams and George Gaynes, but Lehman Engel conducted both recordings and he knows the score inside out.

On one of my trips to the Museum of TV and Radio in NYC, I watched the TV version of WONDERFUL TOWN, and it was SO enjoyable. I wish that could be made available on DVD.

I'm a fan of the score. I wasn't crazy about the Donna Murphy revival on record (she's fine; didn't like the actress playing Eileen), but I would still liked to have seen the show. I've never seen the show staged except on that TV show.

'Allo all.  Just thought I'd drop in between the random chores around the apartment and let those who watch The Office know that the episode I am *fingers crossed* in will be airing next week, April 26th -- "Product Recall."

The best places to watch for me are in the background when Jim and Andy first pull up to the school they are going to (I am in a black hoodie and walk behind them as they are getting out of the car); another prime spot (if they didn't edit it out) will be in a hallway when Andy recognizes his "girlfriend" -- they did several takes where there is a 30-something teacher who Jim mistakenly thinks Andy is talking about at first and I am right behind her - who I believe they pan in on...

Other assorted places are in a hallway scene when the bell rings and everyone scatters, I run into a classroom right behind Jim - then there are the obligatory courtyard scenes where everyone is wandering around.  When Jim and Andy exit out of the school (again, if they kept that shot), myself and another guy run out of the building right before the two of them exit.  Just keep your eyes peeled for a brown haired guy in a black hoodie, a green sweater, and jeans...  :D

The nice thing about THE OFFICE DVDs is that you may be in the unaired segments on the DVD set when it comes out this fall, DR Cason, if what you were in gets cut for the broadcast version.

I was pleasantly surprised last year to find that much of the unaired footage is every bit as funny as what makes it on air.

Since lunch ran long, I spent almost all afternoon watching I'LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS, the very nice biopic of lyricist Gus Kahn. Doris' voice has never sounded so mellow than on these songs, and how funny to hear a dubber singing "Love Me or Leave Me" a few years before DOris got her chance to sing it in the film of that title.

The transfer looks grand: very sharp, great contrast and almost no damage to the print used for the transfer at all. Looked like a brand new movie.

I started a WILD WILD WEST episode - "Night of the Man-Eating House," but only got a few minutes in, long enough to see that one of the guest stars is William Talman.

DR elmore3003, do you know the size of the orchestra for the revival of 110?  I love the original orchestrations, and much as I admire Jonathan Tunick, I am fearful of what the producers have given him to work with there.

I do not.  I am assuming it's between 12 and 15.  I believe it's the same orchestration he did for the Signature Theatre in Virginia.

I can't promise anything -- but I am pretty sure that it is going to be a really funny episode nonetheless!

Wow! Very beautiful!

I can only assume that the spiny lizard devoured the butterfly while you watched.

LOL. No. Actually, this male spiny lizard and a female spiny lizard were doing a mating display.
