TOD:  I believe the first site I visited was theatre.com, which was run by Robert Viagas, a very fine reporter (and gentleman) I knew from the BMI Workshop.  The first group/message board I was on with any regularity was the Saturday Review Online board back in 1995 or 1996.  I used the internet pretty much only for theater-related stuff at first;  Skip was "online" before I was, and this was the era when AOL charged by the minute.

We didn't venture outside of AOL until I was banned for life and got another internet provider.

As DR TCB would say:   Huh?

Good morning, all!  I have to be to Toyland by 1 PM, so I'm going to work on editorial guidelines (Again!).  I shall go directly from the office to Grand Central and meet DR FJL, and it's off to Westport.

I got my first computer in 2001, so I guess the first sites were my publisher's, eBay, and Google, since I was primarily using the computer for emails, reports, and research into BABES IN TOYLAND.  In 2003, Liz Callaway mentioned that BK had this site, and I've been around since January or February 2004.

I have always admired this man and his writing.  He sure knows his stuff!  :)

Larry, do you know if there are any landmarks at which we can meet at Grand Central at 3:45?  If not, maybe just the rightmost part of the ticket window area?  (I haven't ridden out of Grand Central in several years.)

I'm not joining you (wish I was) but there is the information booth in the middle of the main floor. It's directly across from the ticket windows and very easy to see.

Thanks, Ben!

Larry - if it's OK with you, let's use that information booth as a meeting place.

When the internet came around I did not really use it, but my father had an affinity for political forums. I suppose I really got addicted to the internet when when having to do homework, running a search was sooo much easier than going to the library.  Then I discovered online gaming....

Good Morning!

I got out of bed at 6:52- after the alarm went off at 6:45.  Showered, dressed, etc... Then grabbed the 8:14 train up to Westport.

I'm up, but I can't believe I'm up this early.  And in Westport!

DRs elmore and FJL - I'll see you this afternoon.  I plan on taking a nap in the green room after the DQ run.  ;)  The dinner reservation is for 5:15-ish.

The theatre will go ahead and make sure a cab is "set aside" for us after tonight's show to take us back to the train station.  -And that will be four of us all together?

Thank you, JRAND. I don't usually remember my dreams, but I recently had one with music in it--my first, I think.

To all of you--do you often hear music in your dreams? Is this a common occurence?

How scandalous...and how gothic!

I can hardly ever remember my dreams, but musical underscoring would be pretty memorable!?!

This reminds me of a time when I heard Michael Maguire perform live at an outdoor event in Williamsburg, VA.  He was singing "If Ever I Would Leave You," and when he got to the bridge, the melody was WAY off - I mean, clashing with the orchestra off.  I thought, OK, momentary brain freeze.  But when the bridge returned, he did it again - and I thought: OK, the guy learned the song wrong, and no one has corrected him!

Hmm.. I think I may have been at that same concert.... Hmm... Howl long ago?  Fourth of July or something like that?

I believe it was July 4th, yes...probably about 5 to 7 years ago?  In the streets of the commercial area near the entrance to Williamsburg proper?

Did we have a "LOST" encounter in a past life?  :)
