QUITE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were quite, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're making a lot of noise and I've told them to be quiet, which, of course, is quite anagrammed.

Welcome thirty-two GUESTS!

Holy smokes, that's some sort of record.

And der Brucer has been sitting here for an hour like a dead herring in the moonlight without so much as a post.

And once again, der Brucer disappears like a smoked whitefish.  It's almost as if he's doing it deliberately, isn't it?  You know, just to be IRKSOME.  Those that are IRKSOME are in for a bitch-slapping from here to eternity and hell and back, you mark my words.

Thirty-two has dwindled to nineteen GUESTS, still not bad for this hour.

Actually, your very good friend, Mr. AOL hung up my system and I had to fiddle-&*%# around to get back in business.

ROAD RAGE

Quote
Survey Finds Miami the Worst Road Rage City

MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- For the second consecutive year, rude Miami drivers have earned the city the title of worst road rage in a survey released Tuesday.

Other cities near the top of the rude drivers list were New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

The most courteous drivers can be found in Portland, Oregon; Pittsburgh; the Seattle-Tacoma area; St. Louis; and Dallas-Fort Worth, the survey found.

No mention of Buffalo riders from Fargo or Horse and Buggy drivers from Iowa.

As an interesting sidenote, citizens have been unable to get the legislature to enact laws preventing gun-toters from going to the library wearing heat.

Story from the never-ending memory bank.

My Mother-in-Law, a very proper neatly coifed white haired lady, made a purchase of a S&W 38 Police Special in Virginia (there were no gun shops in D.C.). On her way back home she decided to stop into a bank to conduct some business. Loathe to leave the weapon in the car where it might be stolen, she took it with her. She entered the bank, walked up to the teller, set her gun on the counter, and said, politely, "I'd like to make a withdrawal, please."

Much ado ensued.

Isn't it nice to know that Portland and the Seattle-Tacoma area, both home locales of some of our most popular Hainsies/Kimlets, are on the courteous list!

TOD:

DVD - The Black Rose.  Linda Christian looks scary.  Tyrone Power IV looks so much like his father (who died before he was born) that sometimes it is most disconcerting.

CD:  Helen Shapiro

VHS:  Circus World

My niece Amanda Mitchell is part of a writing contest.  If you have a NON FREE email and want to register you can vote for her here:

It's a bit of a pain in the neck, but if you care to.  Thanks.  She wrote a pretty good article.  Just look around on that page for Flyer Idol and you should be able to find it.

Good morning, all! And a special good morning to DR TCB!  I'm still unhappy over the season finale to UGLY BETTY, but for me, the biggest puzzler is the ending for Daniel and alexix: are they in Central Park?  Manhattan at night looks nothing like the road they were on after dark, and the office building is clearly in the East Side of the midtown area.  I am also bummed about the Hilda story line, even though I loved the WEST SIDE STORY parallels.

DR Matt H, I agree with you aboout MEDIUM; I see no reason why every case situation for Alison should end happily, and I couldn't wait for that creep reporter to get hers!  That she actually did was a nice bonus.

Today, back to Toyland, even though I'd rather stay in since we have a big storm prediction and it's quite gray outside.

TOD:
CD:  Ron Raines, Thomas Tallis. Shirley Bassey, The Most Happy Fella
DVD:  A Tree Grows In Brooklyn (Region 2), Upstairs Downstairs Season 3, Little Miss Sunshine (which I keep postponing)
   VCR:  same old tired old
