No, BB, I rarely post there - but when I do, it's under the same name as here.     :)

Not really.  I just read some of the chatty boards.

Gee, I usually go to all those BLIND ITEM sites, and then spend the rest of the day trying to figure out who the heck they are talking about.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up...  And I just realized I don't know where I'm playing today.  I know what I'm playing today, and I know where I'm playing, but I don't know where.  So... I think I'm gonna head down to Chelsea first in a few minutes, and if we're not on the board there, then I'll walk the ten blocks up to Ripley-Grier.  I think.  Or I could just call the office too in a few.   That could work.

DR singdaw - I can neither confirm nor deny said casting decisions.  However, the info on Boyd Gaines was on Playbill.com yesterday.  As for Ms. Benanti, well...

OK - I gotta get ready to head out.  Luckily, it's supposed to be a short day, so I should be back after lunch.

Thanks to those who voted.

Miss Amanda Mitchell is now in second place in the first round....votes are accepted until Thursday, so time will tell.

I will put the link up again later today.

Thanks for the kind words, DR JANE.  She is a pretty good writer.   :D

Jrand - is that the Annette from the Melissa Manchester song:

Baby cried the day the circus came to town
'Cause she didn't wnat parades just passing by her
So she painted on a smile and took up with some clown
While she danced without Annette upon the wire

TOTD

The Blob
Rebel Without a Cause
The Outsiders

The following films would not be a teen rebel film in the traditional sense of the word but in many ways they are.

They often went against what was the norms of society at the particular time and what was expected.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Sixteen Candles
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Valley Girl  - i thought it was an interesting commentary on SoCal...  (A gal from the valley going out with the punk)

What can I say.... I was a teen back in the 80s!

DR JoseSPiano, can you confirm or deny the swirling Gypsy casting rumors of Boyd Gaines to play Patti's Herbie and/or Laura Benanti to play Patti's Louise?

THE SWIRLING GYPSY?--they're reviving that old warhorse of an operetta?  My word!
