Really clever if you can get Grandpa to do all the work!

der Brucer

LOL-Actually, I'm sorry your daughter is missing out on the fun.  It was hard work but I enjoyed organizing the parties, but then I didn't work full time.

I kind of enjoy it when I call customer service and it goes to India...they are so polite...and of course the poor customer service people can never get me off the phone.

Because you never make sense?

I keep meaning to mention something about how music is credited in movies, but I'm still a bit nap-deprived to say anything coherent.  In any case...

"Original Songs" usually fall under the "Music From..." category, rather than the "Soundtrack of..." one.

I guess I'm thinking of that David Friedman song that appears over the credits of the "Trick".  That's definitely a "Song from..." rather than part of the "Soundtrack of..."

Or something like that.  ???

I guess as long as no one else is claiming credit for the song Skip/Waler wrote, well, then that's a good start.

However, according to the Extra Features on the DVD of FRIENDS AND FAMILY, the song "You Can't Surprise Me" was almost used over the closing credits with two male dancers ballroom dancing to the song.

WHOA!

Yes, something definitely happened to Paula's nose!

She fell over her dog, or something.  I think it's the drugs myself.

Drugs - my guess, too.

Was that Marlee Matlin in the audience?

It has been a very long and tiring day.  Seeing my Dad's and Joey's grave for the first time.  For that matter seeing my own grave.  That's quite an experence.  It gives one pause to think one is standing on the place one will spend all time at.

One of the things that used to cheer up my dad when we would visit my mother's grave was pointing out all of our plots.  I figure it will be an empty plot with just my headstone since I'm requesting that my ashes be thrown into the faces of the Macbeths.

Why would a singer have her nose pierced?

Thanks to everyone [I believe mainly DRs Matt H., George, Dan (the Man) and JoseSPiano) for sharing their DVR knowledge with a newbie! :)

Why would a singer have her nose pierced?

More openings give her a better chance of hitting the right note?

Why would a singer have her nose pierced?

..... it would seem that there would be a danger of creating a "harmonic hole" that could produce an eerie wheezing sound.... rather like a badly played "Tonette."

                             ???

That's what I thought, too.....   They may end up calling her Jordin the Train Whistle.   8)

I just have to wonder how they chose the song?  -out of the "thousands" of entries.

And I just have to wonder who chose the winners/song too.

The song was "aiight".

Now why didn't they have one singer open the show with the song and another one close it out?  Hearing it repeated back to back... ???

However, I have to say that this song is much better than the two songs the finalists had to sing last year.  And those were written by "professionals".

So, are these two singers singing for an hour tonight? The same songs?

Three songs each.

One "new" one.
One "favorite" from the past rounds.
And then each of them have to sing the "winning song".  That's the only duplicate.

Whew!  Jordin sounds sharp to me....

Song lyrics are nothing but false and forced rhymes......terrible.

Whew!  I thought it was just me - especially after the judge's comments.

As for the forced rhymes.. blame Spring Awakening.   ;)
