Was there nothing in the meal of nutritional value?  A slice of raw onion, perhaps?

Well... Again, lean ground beef, broiled.  -Think of it more as chopped steak.  And following my niece's lead, I skipped the bun.  But I did have a couple of pieces of lettuce and a few slices of tomato too.

Well, my niece, Alyssa, has just informed that dinner is being served, so...

Laters...

Is she the one who used to cry when you looked at her?

Count me in as another fan of Rob Morrow on "Northern Exposure".

*And still wonder every now and then how John Cullum was never nominated for an Emmy on that show.  He wuz robbed!

As for Rob Lowe...  I never really liked him when he was a member of the "Brat Pack" - there was just something "not right" about his look to me.  Then when he tried to be "grown up" in "The Hotel New Hampshire"... Ugh!  And then the whole video-taping scandal at the DNC... Double-Ugh!  However, I do have to say that he has grown on me over the past couple of years.  When he started on "Brothers & Sisters", I was very wary of his being added to the cast.  But it's a good character and great writing, and he's handling it all wonderfully.

Alas, Rob Morrow has tended to grate on me the past couple of years.  Ah, well...

Call me dumber than a bag of hair today! I'm all dressed up to see the orthopedist, ready to take a bus trip, and I see that it's scheduled for this time tomorrow.  Well, duh!

Back to THERESE RAQUIN!  I don't know how PBS broadcast this show in the USA to make any sense, with all of the nudity in the first two episodes.  Laurent's trips to the morgue looking for Camille's body are filled with nightmarish nude corpses, and we do see a lot more of Brian Cox and Kate Nelligan than the Masterpiece Theatre audiences saw.  Mona Washbourne plays Camille's mother and she is wonderful; I think my only memory of her is Mrs Pierce in the film of MY FAIR LADY.

I still remember being shocked by the love scene on the ship during "Brideshead Revisited".  -And then the subsequent showings where that scene was edited.

However... Which recent BBC/PBS presentation had a nice view of Robson Green's backside?  :)

HA!  While Googling for a pic of Robson Green, I came across a site entitled "Hairy Chests of the Rich & Famous".  -You can Google that for yourself if you so desire.  ;D

When will the day come where you can pick exactly the stations you want and don't want? I am sure it will never happen.

Wouldn't that be nice!

Yes good vibes to BK on his show!

And guess what? I totally agree with DR RonP re: Rob Lowe.  I really liked him on THE WEST WING. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE him on BROTHERS & SISTERS.  He is so perfect on that show. And I really love him and Calista as a tv couple!

Ohh!  A nice bit of news just posted over at Playbill.com:

Glorious Ones, a Musical Page Out of Theatre History, Will Get Lincoln Center Run

Hmm... I'm wondering if Jenny Powers will stay with The Glorious Ones, or if she'll stick with playing Rizzo in the upcoming Grease revival.  Or if she could both?

Hey say what you want about Paris Hilton. But she really outwitted the paparazi.  She went to the MTV awards, and then snuck out. ANd then managed to go to a family house, sneak out again (i believe her sister was wearing a blonde wig to trick the media). And then she went through a tunnel at the prison. and only like one "news" crew got her photo.

Are there any redeeming moments in Val Kilmer's TEN COMMANDMENTS?  Are there any half naked men, or anything?

Hold on a second here!  What's this with hamburgers not having nutritional value?

Drawing from a quick Google, here's some information from the Ontario Cattleman's Association.

Quote
Based on five patties per pound of ground beef, the average patty (no bun) made with lean ground beef, provides 10 essential nutrients including protein, B vitamins, iron, and zinc while contributing only 7.6 grams of fat and 139 calories. The same patty made with regular ground beef has 10.6 grams Of fat - less fat than found in a commercial muffin.

Sounds to me like our DR Jose should be eating more hamburgers, and less muffins!

One of the things I "fondly" remember about seeing The Ten Commandments: The New Spectacle Musical was that a bunch of male ensemble had six-pack abs. Maybe even an 8-pack in the bunch.  However, when Mr. Kilmer was playing the "young Moses", it was clearly evident that his six-pack was "enhanced" with make-up, and I suspect there was a reason that Moses did not have a waxed chest. ;)

I have yet to see the DVD of The Ten Commandments, but can you read the big sigh of relief on Lauren Kennedy's face while she exits after her last big, Janet Jackson-ish type number?

I've been relaxing and trying not to use my voice, but I'm quite bored of that, so I shall now start speaking and not worrying anymore.  Have to shave and shower and be at the theater by six or so, although just what we'll be doing for two hours before showtime is anyone's guess.  I think we'll figure out how we're getting on and off stage and probably work on the little curtain call, but that's it for me - I won't sing out Louise until the show.
