Speaking of these actors who appeal to the young people, exactly when was Rex Smith a teen idol, as reported in his bio?

Back in the 70s

Anyone remember me?

I used to wander around these parts, many moons ago...  Then I got a new job and planned a wedding and went on a honeymoon, and now I'm coming back to poke my head in and say hello...and accept the bitchslappings I probably deserve for being so very very errant and truant

...From which she never really left/escaped/recovered. ;)

-And didn't Sheena Easton do a stint on "Solid Gold" for a while too?

Oh, and, of course, one cannot forget those "Solid Gold Dancers"!

Yes she did...

I only repeat what I've heard.  I'm sure he knows of lots of other similar situations in the business.

Like a famous broadway/movie star having a "close" relationship with his stand-in on a film shot here in GA? That always struck me as the height of narcissism.

Odd, I would have expected you to receive yours before I received mine.

And today the Oz birthday CD has still not arrived...maybe Salem is in some kind of time vortex or something.

Before I forget...two things I wanted to say

One, to DR George -  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for that CD of the Australian performance of The Secret Garden.  Anthony Warlow gives me chills every time I hear him sing.  The CD has spent much of the last three months in my car with me.

Two, to Tomovoz and Colin, thank you both for the beautiful card.  It is sitting in a place on honor on the mantle.

My favorite 80s Aussie band was Men At Work. I also liked Air Supply in small doses. INXS was good also.

I like the Bee Gees also but they do not fit into any decade precisely.

Rob Morrow should never have left NORTHERN EXPOSURE, one of our all time favorite shows.  We often watch re-runs.  He was the anchor of the show & sadly it couldn't survive without him.

He left when the scripts started getting bad---he was only missing from the last 10 episodes or so. Paul Provenza was a very poor substitute.

My favorite episodes were, of course, the ones featuring Bill Irwin (who, I beleive, must live close to Zingstraw.)

I vaguely remember Leif Garrett but not no recollection of Rex Smith. I was a teen/ early 20s in the 1980s

In the 1980s I was watching Sesame Street.

What was funny was in the dorm I lived in at the time, the number of people watching Sesame Street and Electric Company

At the height of Rex Smith's fame,. he opted to do Broadway shows like THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and then a short while later, THE HUMAN COMEDY.  He could have made lots of money elsewhere, one would think.

I recall both Rex Smith and Leif Garrett from the 70s...but I didn't care for either one...as a teen my "teen idols" were Tom Wopat and Tom Selleck...although I guess they weren't teens, were they.
