I'm back, after another full day of visiting with relatives. On my way home from my mother's, I picked up my mother-in-law to join us for Father's Day dinner. Richard just left to take her home.
TCB's TOD - My first visit to New York was 40 years ago this week, with my mother. She worked at a Detroit bank with a woman whose brother had a connection to Lotte Lenya. We had 4th row center house seats for Cabaret, original cast, at the Imperial Theatre. When the show was over, we went out a side door and ended up right by the stage door. I still have the souvenir program, autographed by 4 of the 5 leads (all but Jill Haworth). Also, while we were standing there, Mary Martin and Robert Preston came out of their I Do, I Do stage door, got into a limo, and zoomed away. I can still see MM waving out the back window.
