Hey! I have a Cd of Mrs Miller's greatest  hits. I am unlikely to buy the one by Mr Potts.  I know class.

And, in the very best of the "who gives a crap" trivia department --

A good friend of mine in Los Angeles (now deceased.... the friend, not the city) was actually the producer of the sessions when they recorded Mrs. Miller's songs.  And Fred told me, that she really didn't have a clue that she might be thought of as "funny."

Most memorable for me is probably Sandy Duncan in PETER PAN.

I saw Sandy Duncan do PETER PAN five times.  I was living in New Jersey at the time, and everyone who came to visit wanted to see PETER PAN and ANNIE.  Of course, at the time, we only had the rare TV appearance of the Mary Martin version, so it was pretty exciting to see it done live at the Lunt-Fontaine.

Each time I saw the show, I would hang around and watch Sandy at the stage door. She was incredible with each and every person who wanted her autograph.  I think she is a delight.

I believe that.

Jane, I am surprised to read that you didn't enjoy ANNIE.  I saw each and every Annie, from Andrea McArdle thru Sarah Jessica Parker.  I thought it was a marvelous Broadway show, but I hated the movie.

Is the Camelback Inn in Phoenix still a great place to stay?

Okie-Dokie my little passion-vine..... I'll see you there.  And because you are buying, I intend to eat a lot.

Don't forget that they have that quirk of only accepting cash (in this day and age!!)   >:(

Dear Tom.... the Camelback Inn was taken over by Marriott.  I was at it sometime last year (I think), but I'm not sure if it's open now or not.

Well, I'm heating some foodstuffs, and will probably have a fairly early evening.  And then off tomorrow morning to a very yummy breakfast with the lovely and enigmatic DR Laura.

I don't suppose DR Sandra wants to come along also???  I could promise to stand up in the restaurant and say  "UNDERPANTS."

The Camelback Inn is still open as far as I know. Mountain Shadows is the one that closed.

And Camelback Inn is also way out of my league.

And yes, I would say that Camelback Inn would be a very nice place to stay.

Another question: How do you think Paul Potts would have done on American Idol?

It is a sad story and only Annie & Sandy really have a happy ending.  We didn't dislike the show, we did expect to feel good when we left the theater.

Thanks DR Laura.  We discovered them when we lived in Michigan.  Sometimes when Keith was traveling the boys and I would go there for dinner.  Not very often since our dinners were pancakes and hot chocolate.  They have excellent hot chocolate.

They wouldn't have let him past the first auditions of Idol, because he was singing opera.  Simon doesn't even go for Broadway.  However, if he was on America's Got Talent (the British cousin) I think he might have done very well.  Last year they had a yodelling teenager who made it all the way to the finals.

Remember, while my laptop is new the quality isn't great.  I should have watched the clip from Keith's computer, except he was playing his newest computer game.

But you would have to read the fine pring!

No, Laura, it doesn't look like I will be visiting Phoenix anytime soon.  Las Vegas at the end of the month and again at Thanksgiving, but not Phoenix.

My ex, who lives in Sun City, and I have ceased corresponding.

I really do toss things from time to time--not that you'd know it. Cull, cull, cull!! Keep less! I'm sure DR JOSE can relate to this.

I need to do major purging of stuff. But it's so hard!!

I guess I was wrong.  I thought I saw all of the Annies on Broadway, but I might have missed one.

I saw Andrea McArdle, Shelley Bruce, Allison Smith (KATE & ALLIE), and Sarah Jessica Parker.  However I am not sure I ever saw Diana Barrows do the role, although I did see her as one of the orphans.

Allison Smith is featured on the Songwriters DVD. Remarkable. I remember checking to see what she had done after Annie and Kate & Allie.  Some TV series that I did not know I think.
