I will be heading to the airport later this afternoon to meet my brother. He will be here until Sunday morning. He is very excited about his trip. I didn't realize the extent of his excitement until I spoke to one of my sisters. I hope his excitement doesn't decline when he sees the blow-up bed on which he will sleep. We don't have a fire escape so we have to put him up somewhere.

I'm back, the bowl is clean and I now must go to the bank.

I'm taking the AirTrain from Penn Station NY to Newark Liberty International Airport. I've never done it before but friends say it is simple and quick. We shall see.

Good morning, all! Another restless night. I was awakened around 6 AM by very strange dreams about nuns and demonic possession in Loudun in 1634, and this dream was the follow-up to one that woke me at 12:30 AM, something to do with the house where I grew up and its rather spooky cellar which terrified me all the years my family lived there.

This morning I have a trek to Toyland; hopefully this on-again-off-again lease madness will resolve itself today.  I have a bit of rewriting on the editorial guidelines this morning with one of my colleagues. After that, NYPL and the neighboring pharmacy to refill a prescription. Tonight my friend Kirk and I are meeting for drinks or dinner, it seems uncertain at the moment.

Last night, we had "Shrew" rehearsal (I've only been home for about an hour) with our very first full run-through (without costumes)!  We started at about 8:00 pm and we didn't finish until 10:45!  However, we did stop a few times, and there were a few moments of train wreckage, but overall it went quite well. :)

The notes were widescreen for me on Netscape and the usual on Safari.

A double bill for DR MBarnum.  If he misses the point of S&V he'll be compensated by He & She.

I wonder which song DRs have the most recorded version of in their collections.

I remember Michael Shayne compiling versions of "Send In The Clowns".

I've done Cds of Ebb Tide and Volare (for MBarnum) and more recently, "Begin the Beguine".

My next collection may be "The Shadow of Your Smile"

A few years ago, I made a CD of about twenty different versions of "La Paloma" for my mother.  It was easier to do in those days of Napster and BearShare--you just searched for the title.  But since I eschew file sharing these days (too risky!), it's somewhat difficult to compile compilations.
