I misread - his resignation is actually June 2008, or sooner if they find a replacement.

Well, that's good, at least...

I don't suppose your reciprocal agreement is in any sort of written form?

Good Evening!

Well, after dealing with my roommate's party yesterday, not sleeping last night (on purpose), a six hour train ride this morning (and hardly sleeping on the train), Uncle Jojo needed a nap, some dinner and a nice hot shower.  Not necessarily in the order, but that ended up being the order.

Aaahhh.  :)

BK - First of all, VIBES, VIBES, VIBES!

Secondly - who exactly is resigning? The president of the college? the head of the theatre department? or the money guy (who's not on the administration of LACC - ?)?

I am super excited for tonight's episode of The Closer. I really enjoyed last week's.

I'll watch it later tonight after my roommate and I watch last week's elimination episode of SYTYCD.

Thanks for the Vibes for Steve's mother.  She was admitted last week to the hospital, and was moved to ICU earlier tonight.  I haven't gotten the specifics of her condition, but it's something she's been admitted for before.  Steve and his sisters are relatively calm about the situation since the Austins tend to be hardy, long-lived stock.  Hopefully, she'll be out of ICU in a few days, and then back home a few days after that.

I guess it is very gentle vibes in order for the ICU. Best of OZ wishes for your friend's Mother DR Jose - and indeed for Steve and his family.

Steve's family may also feel more comfortable with their mother in ICU, where she will receive the best of care.

DR Jane, I love animals, and have a cat named Bella.  She is an old lady now - just turned 17.  :o  Quite beautiful, and very loving.  I will try to attach a photo of her.

Nice!  I have a solid black cat named Ebonie.  I inherited her from my former housemate (Peter) who got married.  His then-soon-to-be-wife (now ex-wife ::)) was allergic to cats, so I kept the cat.  Peter got her from a pound and didn't know exactly how old she is.  Now, I think she's probably seven or eight years old.

As for standing ovations during the middle of the show, well... I'm trying to remember if I stood up after "Rose's Turn" last Wednesday.  I remember people standing at both the day and evening performances - moreso at the evening performance - but...  Well, now that I think of it, I think I did stand.  Although, only at the matinee and not at the evening show.  Or vice versa.

In any case... I'm very "stingy" with my standing ovations.  And I've had more than one person look down at me with that "Why aren't you standing up?" face.  But I also have no problem standing when I feel it is warranted and appropriate.

Years ago, I remember reading in Dear Abby someone asking what to do when the audience gives a standing ovation, but the writer doesn't feel that it's deserved.  Abby said to stand but don't clap.  She gave some reason why you should stand, but I don't remember what it was.

I've never stood in the middle of a show.  I've never been in an audience where that's happened...at least, that I can remember.  Also, the only shows that I've performed in that got standing ovations have been a local annual AIDS benefit where the overwhelming emotion of the "cause" was what really generated the standing ovations.

Umm...no.  They dated for about a year-and-a-half, got married in October 2005 and by March 2006, they had separated.  They tried to work things out (they both have "issues") but they really shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.  Their divorce became final less than a year after they got married. :-\

I know a couple that filed for divorce before they even wrote the thank you notes for the gifts.
